here's an idea. keep the level 10 cap, in a sense: crits 10+ levels below you can be PKed, but don't lose EXP, and crits that are higher level than you (I.E., lvl 22 pk's lvl 27) lose 10% more exp(not 10% of their max EXP, just an additional 10% of the EXP they already lose from being PKed).

Oh, and if you PK your own alt, you lose EXP regardless, so that it doesn't take the place of recall.

Heh, Happy Birthday, Crane.

It's kinda funny for me because I just found out that my best friend and his wife had their baby this morning.

Joshua, born 8lbs and 2ounces at 10:14am CST/GMT -6 hours.

Happy birthday and live life like everyday is your last.

simon has a heart? oh yeah you must be in that circle of "friends" he defends.

I mean that to say if you get banned from xboxlive, kiss that 50 bucks goodbye. No refund, no unban.

On a side note, please dont try and turn this into a "i hate simon" thread. I personally don't know the guy but it does get quite unnerving for the topic to switch to something that really should be settled between just two people.

This post is is/was not meant to degrade/criticize anyone in any way, shape or form. This is an explanation and a side note. Have a good day or have a bad one if you want to.

I'll give you the lowdown on Xbox live and Halo 2 from my perspective.

It's good, and even great if you have the time to play it (A.K.A, No full time job+school), but like every mass gathering of people, you're always going to find a good amount of idiots in the bunch.

I'm a highly devoted Nintendo fan (step off, GCN rocks) but I know a good game when I see one, so I bought an xbox, halo2 and didn't really bother with a router.

It's playable without a headset, but do yourself a great favor and get one, because then you'll be able to strategize with fellow teammates and what not, and participate in the occasional social chatting.

WORK WITH YOUR TEAM! You can choose between a 'team' game and a 'free for all' game. It's not sensible to team in a free for all, so don't gung-ho it in team. You want your teammates to listen when you give a suggestion, so listen when they give one as well.

One thing that helps (if you play the game for fun and not because you have no life) is to intentionally stay at a low level. The reason I say this is because at the current state, higher levels are usually cheaters. Aside from standby, they exploit glitches and if (god forbid) you're actually better than them, they'll spew profanity and accuse you of cheating simply because there's someone else out of the million+ people on live that is up to par on their play level.

If or when you get Xbox live, keep an open mind and don't go doing stupid things like saying:
"SONY/NINTENDO RULES M$ SUCKS!"
"newb"
anything racial/too much profanity. most dont' mind the occasional swear but when it's every other word it's uncalled for.

Don't belittle the youner players (15and under). Granted, they're not supposed to be playing an M rated game, but sometimes they show a lot more maturity than others do, and when they are mature, treat them as such.

One last note, if you ever cancel your subscription to xbox live, do yourself a favor and call them to confirm your cancellation. I didn't, and their server "accidently" charged me for a month's service after I had canceled and ran me into the overdraft charges with my bank. Now for my bank to despute it, I have to stay with them for another 3 months. :C

All in all, XBOXLIVE rocks. But, like Nightmist, don't throw all social graces out the window when you log in or you will soon find yourself banned. And while I'm not one to try and test it, I'm sure Microsoft's heart isn't as big as Simon's.
