We are boycotting halloween today because of "force security".

The US Forces Europe decided that only children are allowed to dress up this year because it's supposedly endangering the forces if adults run around in costumes. According to their theory it is more difficult to pick out odd folks (who could be terrorists, go figure) if everyone looks odd.

Since halloween isn't a German holiday and trick or treating isn't a common thing here, the only places left for us would be a US military post, and above mentioned takes out all the fun. We're gonna go watch a movie instead.

lol yeah, because any major announcements like that are going to be mentioned only on AFN radio, which, incidently, i've never heard of... If they really expected people to follow that 'rule' then they'd have mentioned it in more places than one random radio station I think...

Yes, AFN stands for Armed Forces Network. It's not some random radio station, but the only one in Europe that announces what is going on on US military posts. I hope that answers your difficulties in understanding what I said, Malvalon.

I love Halloween. I always have. I love the whole dressing up and giving kids candy. I have a lot of friends that have kids so that could be part of that I dunno. Ok so I LOVE chocolate candy. Damn sweet tooth.
