Staff Position

I'm not going to list what I did before when I was staff or get into details about why I left, but if you'd like to know you can pm me on here or reach me in the game.
Basically i've just talked to Pandilex and he was happy to allow me to post on here, i'm assuming to see what the general community thought about the idea.
If I get re-promoted, I will continue to do my very best to help develop the game as I have been doing as a mortal player for a long time - so nothing is going to change there.
I'd also try my very best to help the current staff with whatever projects they have going for themselves (if they so require it). I see myself to be very creative in regards to areas and monster development and have alot of ideas regarding that floating around in my head that i'd like to try and bring into the game.
I think a general staff presence in game is always welcomed, whether it be to entertain the players or to maintain a healthy gaming atmosphere.
I'll actually release that event me and Jen promised you guys a while back.....lol, we apologise we never got around to it, but we never seemed to be able to catch each other online due to the different time zones etc.
I'm not going to make a huge list of what I intend to do if i get re-hired - I don't want to bribe you guys into wanting me back - but I do have alot intended don't get me wrong.
Area development was my key specialty when I was first hired, and the good thing is i won't have to re-learn (MUCH lol) of the system, as I played with it exstensively for along time. I intend to start building something straight away, although i am unsure of what it will be, and I am still unsure of JLH's plans in regards the development (area wise) so we'll have to wait for that one.
I've been around for a long time as most of you know, so I feel my knowledge and experience would be a great benefit to the game as a whole, for now and for the future.

I definately support this idea. I have seen the work you have put into this game as well as events that you have coordinated or participated in. You have alot of talent and if you are willing and able to become staff again, in my opinion, it would be a great thing.
Look forward to the many positive things you continue to add to this game Ste.
Respectively,

hmmm how should i put it? isn't this one of those situations where if you've got some sort of issue with how JLH or pan are running the game, you should email them instead of pasting it into the forums where you ensure that JLH and pan will do absolutely nothing.I'm sure the majority of you probably know that i'm trying to get back on the staff team - I have been on it previously for around 7 months if I recall correctly.

i mean, maybe i'm being silly, but if JLH made you staff again because you pleaded your case on the forum, wouldn't that encourage every nitwit with an issue to plead thier case to the forum? isn't that what they've been discouraging since the beginning of nightmist?
don't get me wrong, you did a lot of work as staff. although it was prematurely released apparently. i've heard stories about the editing your areas. your exp ring was failed in it's implementation, and unneccessary at the time. didn't you destroy jahanna too? good job, we loved that. now the undervalued, mages who barely play as-is can't train as fast. you're a genius. as far as staff go, you weren't the worst by far, but i didn't really care for much that you made either, because it didn't affect me, or thought it was stupid.

I'm sorry you didn't like some of the changes I tried to get added, like the exp circles etc. If you would like to discuss that matter further feel free to talk to me in the game and i'll try and explain my reasoning for it.
As for Jahanna, well to be honest the way your addressing the matter is quite surprising from you......I never claimed to be a genious, and i don't appreciate the sarcasm.

Ste isn't pleading, he was merely testing out how well he is supported by players, since this seems to be part of Simon's deciding factors. He did indeed talk to JLH and Pandilex previous to this post.
Also I would like to point out that you can still (or again) train mages in the desert by localling in Silversail, and that as fas as I know Jahanna's destruction was not alone Ste's decision.
Areas that have to be reviewed are a normal thing as well, you never know if it's playable until after it's released and get player feedback (see paci area, swamps, sewage drainoff)
Edit: This was a quick version of my original post which got messed up due to JLH rebooting at the wrong moment.

the case you're pleading is "i should be staff", and you're pleading to the wrong people. i don't make you staff. no one gets to be staff because people wanted them to be. you've probably cut your chances to become staff by doing this, because as i said before, it'll encourage others to get the staff's attention by addressing the entire population. i really think that's been consistantly discouraged. What case am I pleading? I'd usually associate someone pleading with them doing something wrong.....I didn't do anything wrong that warranted my demise from the staff team. I did make a few mistakes obviously (the main one being that I continued to play my mortal characters), which is a process everyone must go through, no matter what it is you are doing. I didn't get fired I left. I'm now wanting to come back on to the team (2 years later may I add) to help with the development.

anyways, your staff experience, just doesn't enthrall me. i was there, i know the rationale. hell, i heard it all in clan chat. i just think it was all done too fast, and it shows. nothing personal though, but you should know that already, i was there when it was done and didn't bite your head off then.

Feel free to pm if you would like to discuss this further.
Edit : I'm pretty sure jlh/pan have made it clear no NEW staff will be hired, so I don't see a problem with this sparking up more similar threads.

Despite that, I completely support you Ste.
Let's see if I can put this in a non-assholish way.. The current staff have too many other obligations to put in a good effort for actually being on /? - I don't know how all the staff are doing area wise. But there really needs to be some staff active.

As long as you're active and actually get the job(s) done, I wouldn't mind seeing you staff again.
Hump in game.

I've just moved to uni and for some (very cool) reason I only have like 2-3 lectures a week.
