I'd like to see a 2% chance of it causing instant death when casted that would be pretty cool :P
If I were the rain... that binds together the Earth and the Sky, whom in all eternity will never mingle... would I be able to bind two hearts together?

No, it sounds stupid. Leave mages alone. They have been made back into major forces in Nightmist and they can do their nonsense; why should they be made into retardedly heavy hitters? Don't bother with saying difficulty to train.
Hit hard now
Have ability to get well over 150ac
Can make themselves invisible

They are a dominant class. They have their weaknesses, but you can't say that they're not one of the most screw-with-able classes in game. (being that you can do tons of stuff with them and mess with equips in multiple ways)
Wisdom is the principle thing. Therefore, get wisdom, and in all your getting, get understanding.

Calculator: 78*5 = 390

You really think a mage should be able to round things with perfect wisdom even with a fizzle added in; possibly even with a fizzle and a half damage?
That is ridiculous. Leave mages how they are. They've been altered to be strong, and they should be strong because they're not easy to train or use in large combination as attackers. Leave it at that. Don't make mages stupid.

And yes? Why not Zerks Ignore AC with Smite <or so I've been told>.

And now someone will bring up the fact that Zerks has no ac what so ever, cool that makes them perfectly balanced against a mage how?
Especially since the Zerker clicks the mage easily enough with smite... or rounds almost anything spelled with 3 stam.

Yes what a shame it would be to let mages have a good shoot at actually rounding Anything but Halfling and Gnome thieves.

I have yet to see a Mage round a dwarf thief/cleric

I have yet to see a mage Round my own Elf cleric... <although it's possible to do so on elf clerics with 'bad' hp's>

So let mages be reduced to rounding Halfling thieves and rangers, it's all their good for right?

This is slightly off-topic, but it might help in balancing Devastate a bit. It says in Devastate's description (/library Devastate) that some of the greatest conjurers have destroyed themselves casting this spell... so... why not give it the added risk of backfiring and causing the caster significant damage?
