Well I have noticed this early in the mornings (early mornings here in the states). I will be running around on my druid and thieves hunting possible pks and at that time there is not many ppl out and about. So while I am running around hunting my thieves disconnect from being inactive for an hour.

My suggestion for improvement is that if one alt is active why not let the other alts benefit from this activity and do not get disconnected.

I don't see how if you don't touch a crit for 1 hour you can argue he is active lol.
Some people who care, might say you'd just be pushing up your online time ranking.
We'll see player reactions but I'm not particularly in favour of this.

It's an active character as it's been moving grid. Inactivity should only count for characters that stay on one grid for that amount of time.

Seeing they are following my leader yea, thats what I meant. It has happened 3 times to me so far while running all around the NM maps hunting but only in the early morning hours. I mean if they are following my druid and moving along from grid to grid with the druid why go inactive and disconnect? I understand if I am sitting in an pub or the clan house just chatting in clan chat or pages and they go inactive and disconnect but not while I am constantly moving around the maps.

As for online ranking I could care less about that. Its just annoying how they all log off at once while I am moving around. Happened once outta the 3 times out in the desert. Logging them back on there sucked.

I disagree.

If you're sitting in a car for an hour, your not active in that hour.

[sarcasmI totaly agree, you not active and the car drives itself. Nope not active at all, dont have to watch any of your mirrors for other cars or push the accelerator/break. I am sure glad they came out with those self thinking/driving cars. :) [/sarcasm]

You're not in a car though, you're running through a forest. It's hardly like the party leader is carrying the entire party on his/her back.

Your thieves must get hungry from time to time......stop by clan house and feed em once in a while.....problem solved.....feed em every 45 minutes.

If i had a scanner and any art abilities i'd draw a picture of that, due to it not taking stamina for alts to be in party running with me...i see everything in nightmist as being in perfect physical condition (for running an infinite ammount of time without getting tired)...and the leader does carry the rest of the party on his back.

Anyway, if a crit is moving, it's not inactive...i think this should apply to all time things (such as 5 min afk, which i HATE having happen to my crits while i try to run around)

As for feeding the thieves in the kitchen or some place with food, I havent seen the kitchen or other places with food in quite sometime. No need to go there when I have a druid in the party.

Do you uncovert the thieves to have the druid cast nourish on them?

Well, the party system in nightmist works exactly like a car.

And do ppl just fall out of your car when they havent talked or anything for an hour? I know that no one in any car I have been in does. They are still active, there are conversations and some ppl even play games as they are traveling in the car. I dont see how you can say that they are inactive.

Count the hour inactivity as falling asleep.

That's what I would do in a car. Besides, your theives can't play checkers.

So basically, what you want is sorta how when one of your crits is hungry, it will tell you on all of your crits, just make it so that as long as one of your crits are active, they all are? Thats stupid. If you dont type anything on your crit, or do anything besides carry him around, which is what your doing in a party, they are inactive. Do you /sing? Apparently not. Given, this can be taken from either side, I still think its pointless. Maybe a warning that says that your crits have been inactive for 55 minutes or something, but nothing more than that is necessary.

I avoid this problem by periodically stopping and hitting look around on all my dragged crits...

However, I do agree that if they are moving (even when dragged by a party leader) they shouldn't log off after an hour. Even if they were "carried around on the party leader's back" and "fall asleep in the car" they wouldn't just vanish. I can carry around a sleeping person just as well as one that's awake, if not easier.

I support the idea. If it's moving, no matter how, it shouldn't log out after an hour.
