Fighter Ability?

The ability would be called sidestep. The idea is that when being attacked with a weapon, except for bows, the fighter would sidestep and stick out his foot, causing the attacker to lose a stamina, and hurt himself for the damage he would normally do to the fighter. The formula?
Sidestep takes all the remaining stamina of the fighter, no less than 2. If the next attack on a fighter hits, then sidestep does nothing. If its a miss, than the attacker loses 1 stamina and does that damage to him/herself.
This would be useless towards pacifists (duh), most effective versus berserkers and theives, less affective toward mages and rangers, and might be useful against clerics and paladins.
I think that this would make this game more strategy and less micromanaging. It might be useful in some places, but it could cost you a battle. What do you think?

nice so their unique ability is being horrible and weakest classI feel that Fighters should be the class that remains ability-less. It is one of the things that makes them unique, their simplicity.
nice...
