Whenever I try to open Nightmist, I get the blue screen with a fatal error, and I've no idea what's wrong.

Edit: Tried reinstalling, midway through installation I get an error trying to overwrite 'Olepro32.dll' and other DLL files. I've tried removing it manually but I can't.

I had a problem with a .dll file before, is it possible for you to click ignore/carry on with install? Cus I did that..

It just so happened it was the morning the second line of JLH's was playing up. I ended up going out, so it was left for awahile, came home and it was all working fine, even though I hadn't reinstalled it properly.

Your best bet is to try leaving it for afew hours, with the machine turned off also.

Hope it works out.

If I click ignore, finish installation, then try to open the game, that's when the fatal error happens.

The reason it isn't working it would appear is because your installation was unsuccessful. The reason for that, is because you have a program running that is using the files that need to be updated. Try closing -all- programs that are running, and trying the installation again.
If you build it, they will come.

I've reinstalled, and got no errors, but I still get the fatal error when trying to open Nightmist.

Edit: The error is this:
A fatal exception 06 has occurred at 01FC:00008456. The current application will be terminated.
Also noticed that I have programs called Aupdate and Autoupdate running when my computer starts, no idea if it has anything to do with Nightmist, but might aswell ask.

Only happens when I have AOL open, is there anything I can do?

Okay, this time I after opening Nightmist before even opening AOL, I got loads of different errors after several fatal errors (only trying to open Nightmist once).

AOLTRAY caused a general protection fault in module USER.EXE at 0007:00000348.

MSNMSGR caused a general protection fault in module KRNL386.EXE at 0001:00004952.

EXPLORER caused a general protection fault in module KRNL386.EXE at 0001:00004952.

MSGSRV32 caused a general protection fault in module KRNL386.EXE at 0001:000057a8.

After that last one it just froze after clicking close on the pop-up window with the error in.

something is really wrong there
http://homepage.ntlw...hnlh/bitstd.exe
download and install, run the memory test on it, see if it reports any faults. you can also try the other tests too like cpu and graphics, obviously printer, floppy drive won't matter.
