On multi-alt, recall potions are not particularly useful because you are not likely to be using a single alt, and if you are, it usually already has Recall as a spell (Pacifists).

I would like to propose that if a party leader uses a recall potion on multi-alt, it teleports the entire party to local. In terms of lore, the party leader is effectively holding hands with other party members and so could take them all onto the ethereal plane when he or she ingests the potion. Once on the plane though, the individuals go to their individual anchor points rather than the same one (because the party leader's local tavern may be in a clanhouse, and not all party members may belong to the same clan).

Long story short, if a party leader activates Recall, everyone in the party goes to local (unless settings on the square prevent Recall). Comments?

this isnt really needed on main anyways, the potion of recall would be more help on 1a.

unsupported.

keep running around on 20 crits, you can kill any thing on the way back to your own homes with that or use a l2l

If a leader of a party steps into a Vortex Gate, the rest of the party will follow. Makes sense.

Supported.

Seeing as it's fantasy, you can always word it so it makes sense for either argument. Perhaps the potion isn't strong enough to carry more then one entity through the created portal...

Anyways, I agreed with Crane when he made that post, but now I also have to agree with mr. pirate there. There are plenty of l2l spots. Also for instance on the way to the giant chameleon, I've been stuck there twice (both times going to far without having a mage), and as much as I loved being tped out of there or the like, it does simplify things a lot (btw just so happened that Crane rescued me and Dennis form that place, twice :P).

I'm neither particularly for it, nor against it. But if it does change, the price of obtaining one should be adjusted accordingly (not currently aware where they are gotten).

P.s. How did this idea originate Crane? Cause I knew you guys got stuck just recently on a one way square. Not that it changes my view on things, just wondering.

I didn't actually get stuck - the idea mostly came to mind as an expensive means of an emergency escape from bosses like the Dvergar Runemaster, where the area isn't log-to-local.

They're very uncommon, but aren't very useful on multi-alt at the moment, so was wanting to suggest a way to make them more valuable.

Preferrably, I like the idea. When you're on 1a, you're to fend for yourself and go to areas where you can kill the monsters to get there and back and the ones there, or learn that you can't survive there. On Multi-alt, there's bosses that are KTP and VERY hard to kill, especially when underestimated. It would be a good thing to have those potions to be able to escape an emergency.

Support.

Just to point out, while having such potions would make the game easier, they are rare enough to not make the practice commonplace, since you either need to buy one (which won't be cheap) or somehow pick one up yourself, and needing to use one would imply that you lack the skill to see the area through!!

then die. if you cant handle an area with 20-40 crits on main, then you should be dying, not being able to drink a potion to allow everyone to go back to there local. what happened to people dying in nightmist? is that a 1a thing to die, something below the high standards of main?

im not saying you did die. im just saying, the game has gone ever increasingly towards kill bosses and get right back to kill more bosses. its nice to see somewhere that you cant just leave on a whim and to add a party exit from any place in game seems crazy to me

Recall potions are pretty uncommon. I think they should work on the whole party, as with Vortex Gates.
