So I've given this some thought, and I think Mages could use a spell like this.

Meditate when cast last 30 or so seconds and for every second the mage receives and additional 2mp. However, when cast the mage would lose 2-3 dex for the time of the spell being cast and would be unable to move (Because the mage would be in a meditative state and not be able to react quickly or move). Make it to where its like Justice Zone, where the paci cannot move until Justice Zone is lifted and have the negative 2-3 dex.

Anyways, I would go further in depth with it, but I know its either going to get mass flamed or the "C" word is going to be used, but I thought maybe it would get some ideas flowing and let staff play around with something.

Idea is nice, but I don't see it happening. There are a lot of nopk squares to be found around the world. Mages can just train, sit on the nopk square to get mana back and train again. Although this might put them in range with thieves being able to survive almost forever with dotw.

assuming the c word is coding it might not be that hard to code.. and since you didnt post a mana cost and nothing in life is free i think it could work like tribute... using the coding for tribute(so much gold=the 30seconds, w/e that price may be)+justice zone so the mage cant move.. and lastly, add some negative effects and bam.. best idea ive ever heard considering its pretty much impossible to train mages away from town.. but it will get hated on and more than likely not implemented.. even tho imo, its a very nice idea..

supported.. plz

Thanks for comments.

Angelus - This is true, however mages would still need to buy pots because they still cant heal themselves, if your comparing it to the dotw, and not only that but the nopk squares you speak of can be used for other classes such as rangers/druids/fighter etc. Also, the mage would be out in the open for everyone to see with no protection for 30seconds and -2/3 dex then usual.

Achilles - About the cost, I had it in my mind for it to be a full stamina usage ability to cast/uncast just like justice zone and maybe like 5-10mp.

Again, thanks for the comments.

If mana is that easy to come by, then hp isn't a problem. Hit hit hit invis, hit hit hit invis. etc.

And how you mean those nopk squares can be used by other classes? They don't gain (much) from sitting on there.

Decent point. However, I don't see how you will be able to hit hit invis with just that. As I described it the mage would get 2mp per sec for 30 seconds = about 70mana with the regular regen added. Meaning you could only 3 stam something then invis then you would have to meditate again. And to me, you would probably make more exp hitting and running small snakes lol. And I read your "The mage will use the nopk squares" as if you were saying a mage could hit and run from there or train around the nopk spot as in hitting till out of stam running to nopk spot. Other classes can do the same, however, if you meant it as a mage could just use those spots to meditate on it would probably be easier to run to town/fountian for refresh by the time you meditated.

I only suggested this so that a mage wasn't so tied to towns/shops. I also didn't want something overpowering or something that would make the mage instantly get back all of its mana. Wanted something that took a little time to recover with a cost of getting pk'd of course and etc.
