I need to write about it for my class.

Marijuana is a good one. When I did it I was for cannabis legalisation, and the points involved were like..

-cannabis gateway drug? it wouldn't be if we didn't have to buy it from shady dealers who give you offers on other stuff
-if it was sold over the counter all the psychosis inducing additives wouldn't be added
-does less damage than tobacco

-god made weed, man made alcohol. which would you choose?

I have to write about something I am interested in.
I wouldn't write about Abortion or homosexuals it does not interest me.

I am leaning towards writing about Americans needing to learn a second language
or how pathetic the American education system is.

Please keep adding suggestions

btw Id love to write about legalizing marijuana but its been done so many times,

I need a Fresh concept for a topic.

Education in general is a good one to write about, as long as you don't have a conservative examiner! Nothing wrong with writing about something that's already been written about... puts a fresh mind to the subject!

what will be written about? that it happened? or what? ita a resurch assignment. so you put the dates adn times and whats left to resurch? yes its contriversial but unless you have a clearance you wont find teh nuts that makes it worth writeing about and even then, you wouldnt be allowed.

now if you mean the effects of 9/11/01. then elaborate. how our economy has been effected. how peoples views on their country changed or didnt change. many many people got all patriotic and then a week later went back to saying the country is crap.

so.. if your going to continue to scream your example after it was clearly not chosen, then give it more depth or stop screaming.

on a side note.... or rather another suggestion.. you could resurch alternative fuel for america. or resurch profit margins for gas companies recently. i heard a rumor that exxon mobil had its highest profits in the past year. this is strange considering our gas crisis were in. is it purly for profit and we have lots in reserves that they just arent willing to use? *shrug* thats kind of a hot spot for ppl around me cause gas is up to $3.20 for regular here. and desal is higher than premium and its a byproduct that used to be much less expensive.

As far as I am concerned 9-11 is old news.
I also think that it was a tragedy that lead to an unnecessary war we have been in now for 5 years.

I am now leaning towards researching Immigration- Legal vs. illegal
it is a hot topic right now and I can find lots to write about regarding it.

You could make the topic on the FDA. (Let me explain)
The FDA is in bed with the drug corperations. They have all high power because they are a goverment agency. There are many herbal cures out there that can not be used or even talked about because, BY LAW if you say some thing cures a disease it is a drug. Yet look at scurvy(spelling?) a simple vitamin C difficiency cured by eating an orange. Is an orange a drug?

You could do i on legalizing TCH & The War On Drugs.

You could do it on the goverment in whole, and how it is our right as US citizens to overturn the goverment if we see fit as a country. (It's controversial due to is our goverment that gone yet?)
