I think it would greatly improve the game (for me at least) if I were given special powers and treatment. In the past, sysops were given the option to play overpowered mortal crits for roleplay value, and they would dance around the roleplay part and walk in between NM and arilin killing people until one clan or party did it themselves. What I propose is an improvement on that concept: the concept of "overpowered crit making the game more fun for no logical reason".

I would accept heroic dexterity and constitution under reasonable conditions and only within limited uses (stealing and covert). I want to police the underworld, with absolute authority, and I want unrestricted pilfering powers to garner the ire of NM's citizenry. If I were to attract followers, I would lead them to do harm, I'd act as a shadow figure, attacking only in defense, but robbing whatever I please.

The way I figure, at this point I have no desire to do much else than be a minor nuisance to all players. I'm rarely seen and even then, only before minor to moderate setbacks befall someone else. Why not put that into the context of the game? I could be the only jerk that has a decent reason to be so (it would be my role), and the only thief that doesn't ask for your password. I've been around for ages and never sought great glory or riches. I've spent my time looking for marks and encouraging a more complex adversarial approach to the game. Which is something I could do with an empowered role as a figurehead of chaos and uncertainty. I could retain my mortality, without added health, and fullfill my duties while giving players the incentive to carry on their part of the hunt as well.

It's something to do.

As always, I support anything Doggy suggests.

I have no justification for supporting this case aside from that though.

my reasoning is basically that i'm thoroughly bored over NM, and i can still be a positive factor in creating an adversial distraction from the rat-race, sitting afk, and trash talking. because that's what we do right? i was on the other night and 11 players were on in total, i counted nine people on the north and south gatehouse, 40 crits total, and 7 out of 9 were afk/idle. only two people felt like doing something.

i enjoy the hunt when i'm on, but there's hardly anyone to hunt. i'll check an active person's profile and get an idea of where they are, leave sentinels at crossroads, and so long as they're outside of town, and not overly protected for three thieves, i'll get them. but too often now, it's hardly worth it, no one does anything, and if they do they're walking with 20 crits, or just some noob who i'll feel bad about pking after the 5th or 6th time in the hour.

i want to kill two birds with one stone, encourage more people to hunt, and give me a hunt to partake of. i just don't have the desire to train anymore, which i see as a sign of incorruptibility.

I'd be so jealous.. However, I do actually think you'd be the most suitable player for this sort of role.

It's just a shame nothing like it will ever come about.
