Blade of Times sold for 400-600k at the begining when they first came out (only what a older player told me), When I first started playing they were between 2.5 and 3mil.

This proves a point. The newly introduced items have a high value at the moment. When more are ingame it will be harder to sell them off and the price will drop. When the BETTER ITEM price drops the WORSE ITEM price drops with it so now your previously high valued item ex:Hawk Talon is lower.

Ive lost 225k experimenting for 1 item aswell but i know how 2 get it now its all good

And I would bet anything that the fuzzy feeling you'll get when you finally do get the item will be worth the gold you invested so far.

The problem with Nightmist as I see it is that people have forgotten that the game is ment to be played no bought.

Hey but if anyone has any sexy crits forsale I got paypal ;)

Amen Momba!!!!

I more than anyone knows about time limits. When I was working, I barely had an hour a day to play or I would just suffer not getting any sleep and playing before work. Now that I have the free time, I still don't have knowledge of hardly any of the new areas that were introduced. No one will tell me (which is fine) so eventually, I'll have to figure it out on my own.

When I came to this game, no one told me how to get to anywhere or what to do. I figured it out on my own. The only help I got was someone giving me the NM helper and told me to figure it out from there and I did. Since then, I have figured out 6 areas that are not mapped on the NM helper and figured out more stuff that the NM helper doesn't tell you *hey it's out of date, no big deal* and with all the new shinies in the game, I'm having to learn everything there too.

This game is no different than a regular ps2, xbox, or whatever game console that there is out there games. You learn and conquer and deal with the changes that happens. End of story.

The whole crafting concept was released in one big bang. It may seem daunting but I doubt there will be a mass release of items like that ever again.

As game staff, and a very keen mortal player it is hard for me to watch other people getting these kind of weapons. But in all honesty... Even knowing how to get these items it will still take me up to a month to make them starting from scratch. Just because people know the names of the new items doesn't mean there will be a sudden mass influx. And, people who have gathered some items very quickly have used their vault resources, it was just luck they have collected these "worthless" items for so long.

My suggestion is chill. You will catch up as the recipes are leaked. You will notice people camping bosses they never have before and old monsters dropping new things. Dust off the old crits and kill stuff, which is what the games about.

As for these items being too powerful, I'm yet to see one that makes me gasp.

Why fix a dying economy when a new one will grow?

Also it's just a game, get used to it.

I agree with what Momba said
( Im not going to quote his whole post)

However from what I have seen for example, the change to the Rax just made it easier for Pacis and harder for someone to 1 alt or small party to kill the DG.

I also see alot of the new shineys the same darn thing as the old ones just with a different name. (Meaning same AC and same modifier)
Sure new items are cool to have. I guess its all in the look over that makes them so special. It is definetly working to get rid of some of the gold/items in Nightmist thats for sure. Well done Aeryn. ;)

Fusion, just re-read one of your old posts....

Why do you bring the "I got a 36 on my ACTs" into it?

I play nightmist fairly often and got a 720 on my SAT math, I fail to see the relevance though.

I dont see why the purpose of new areas is to release rare weapons and items, Id -LOVE- to see areas implemented into the game that provide NO new weapons, but just a higher rate of gold, exp and challenging bosses...

The game isnt merely about acquiring and acquiring, its there for you to have fun to.. so have fun, try new things, how others gain and play shouldnt affect the way you do.

Not everyone can be satisfied. Some players don't like new areas giving away powerful items, while others don't like areas giving away high XP and gold... I know some staff are worried about a high gold yield because of the influx into the economy.

Simply put, I like um. Gives me something to do other than train and go after things I already know are there.

To stray backwards a bit, I hate that staff had to make areas able to handle people who alt-ho like crazy. I personally don't like to use more than 5 crits at a time. Just a nice round little number and they fit so well on my screen <3

(to Sneaky) I never claimed I scored 36 on my ACT I said im studying in hopes of doing so, I didnt say this to prove anything besides the point that some players have other things to do that keep them from spending 6+hours exploring ect...just wanting a fun easy accessable area with NO great items just some fun stuff?

Blade of Times sold for 400-600k at the begining when they first came out (only what a older player told me), When I first started playing they were between 2.5 and 3mil.

This proves a point. The newly introduced items have a high value at the moment. When more are ingame it will be harder to sell them off and the price will drop. When the BETTER ITEM price drops the WORSE ITEM price drops with it so now your previously high valued item ex:Hawk Talon is lower.

wrong, the first blade of time sold for around 4.5-5.5 million gold.

I am pretty much positive that the very first drop sold for 6m in straight gold.
Then they were 4.5-5.5 for a while, and got down to 2-3m for a long time.
Now they've dropped another mil-ish in under a year, but these things happen...
