well, obvouisly, theres alot of drama in this game...but in the mist of all the hate, is there anymore nice people? down to earth, caring people, that give people a chance? now i know ill get flamed, but it seems as though everyday theres a new battle to be faught. Ill prob just end up quiting anyways but, does anyone have a heart? and if you dont then where is it, do you people enjoy fighting so much? i mean its gone past "just a game" when you start swearing and cussing at eachother, or am i wrong and is that part of the game for you guys? i guess im just to involved with the way people act on this game. Personally i prefer friends to enemies..anywho, i remember nightmist being alot nicer than it is now. anywho, flame away...

ive noticed the same thing also.. everone has lost the love.. but as for nice people out there i generally like to think im a nice guy even though other will tell you different...

Ive been making an effort to try and be less of an ass. dont know if its noticeable or not, and dont really care much. But the flaming, drama, and pointing fingers is getting old. Only time I enjoy/have flamed people much is when they are thieves. But wrong is wrong, so now I just stay out of it.

I guess I'm different because I give everyone a chance. I don't hate anyone. "Hate" is just a useless emotion that shouldn't be used towards a person. I do despise some people's actions, but never hate the person themselves and believe that everyone can change. Trust is a whole nother issue however. I tend to be a very trusting person on most things. Won't share my account with no one, but with everything else.. I trust someone untill they prove they can't be other-wise trusted ie like lie to me.

This is just a game. It's not really worth getting all depressed over it. Yes sure, I get mad from time to time over certain things, but it passes and is forgotten. Then again, you have to remember. 75 percent of this game is played by children. I being a parent myself of 2 boys, you tend to not stay mad at a child for too long. It's just too damn hard to stay mad lol. This game isn't worth the high blood pressure. Life is too short. Enjoy it to the max and have fun when you can.

I'm 26 years old with 2 boys 6 and 7, work 40-60 hours a week with a boyfriend. I have too much responsibility in life to be pissy over a game. When you get to be my age with that much responsibility, you'll be kicking yourself in the butt wishing that you spent more time having fun and relaxing when you had the chance instead of being the everyday pregnant dog of the world.

18 months ago, a new player could log in and expect to find a few friendly, helpful people within an hour of playing. There were a few large, top-10 clans that were very friendly to new players (Broken, Midnight Thorns, the Aviators, Deadly Beloved) where you could make some friends, learn to play, and get some help. Almost all of these are completely inactive now.

The good news is that there are many very good, trusting, friendly people still around the game. The bad news is that they have been beaten down so much by the rabble in game that in order to get them to pay any attention to you, you'll have to prove yourself to them. Many of them will no longer bother talking to people that they don't already know since far too many players are thieves, liars, or worse.

I'll use myself as an example. I used to spend a lot of time with a crit sitting in the NM arena. I'd take new players to better training spots, give them a bit of gold and some equipment, and show them the ropes. I don't bother anymore. The amount of abuse and whining that I would get on a daily basis made it no fun.

I thought for many years that one of the nicest things that I'd seen happen was Momba's Nicest Person in NM contest. Every year, people would drop their grudges against rival clans and say something nice about the people in game who went out of their way to be helpful and friendly. When Momba stopped running the contest, I took it over. This year's contest was cancelled when someone decided to try to cheat at the contest ... this is how low we've gotten.

When I first logged on a few years back, someone took me to buy an oak staff and armor. Would love to know who that actually was. VERY long shot but anyone remember dragging Vagabond around like a nub fox lol?

Hm, Love. Does it even exist? Who cares? Why should it exist in NightMist, of all places, while obviously the majority of world doesn't possess such emotion? Thinking about it, what does it exactly mean by "love" here? Simply the relationship as it's normally defined? Kindness? Friendship? Helpfulness? All the things that are good and nice?

Perhaps is everyone who want those loves should start giving out one, though they might lack it themselves and occasional rotten tomatoes may be thrown. Perhaps it's just the way that this game changes people so and resign at the fact that actually every stuff you meet is a part of the game. Perhaps we all should just jeering each other.

Nah, maybe I tried at first. But recently... Well, I couldn't run newbs over the sewers because I was busy doing other things. I held onto all my money because I wanted some things that, in fact, I really didn't need, and, heck, I didn't even respond to help-askings in friend chats because if I do, the darn spider would kill me. Sound pretty evil, don't they? -ponders-

there genrally a few nice people left, i help any one that asks for it running people to bt and to guilds and buying people equip and spells to help them out.

One thing - i have noticed (tho i dunno if this has already been said)
Petes is a major contributer to the problems. For one i dont like sitting my helper crit in boars any more consrant anoyance - but mainly a new player logs on and 90% of the time he see big bunches of arrogent high lvl people killing each other contantly in petes and then insulting each other in boars. This cnt give a very good impression on new players.

To help a little - move petes or remove it from boars - its really not helping the game.

I think there are plenty of nice people and love on nightmist. Now I'm kinda biased on that but I've been friends with most of the people on my fl for years. I do admit that I have not bothered lately getting to know most of the new player base. I cant speak for everyone but there came a point where I just got tired of actually trying to help noobs and having them be ungrateful lil tards. But I helped a cool lil noobie out the other day so now that i'm sorta playing again, I have a lil more faith in the noobs.

for the past 2 and 1/2 yrs i played, i hadda put up wit ed's mistakes, ed's choices, ed's enemies, yeh well they never died out and still brought me into the picture, even tho i was never part or took part in nething ed ever did on nm, i was still at fault and the losers on nm flamed me every chance they can get, so yeh thats 2 and 1/2 yrs of it, so u think i should be nice to ppl when noone was ever nice to me? i think not, and i dun really care what u say tbh, i deal what im dealt, u dun like it, good go build a bridge and get over it, u dun like how i act to ppl, go cry to ur mommy, u dun like me, thats great cuz ima love u even more ;P
