Hey, I'm going to be gone for a week if anyone really cares... I am getting my wisdom teeth cut out, so I will still be at home, just in NO mood to play Nightmist. So, I have to go in like, 20 minutes, so I guess this is goodbye for now.

It's not so bad.. well, cept for when the anastesia didn't work on me and they had to break my jaw to get my upper wisdom tooth out and I felt that. Then when the anastesia did kick in.. I was knocked out for 3 days straight. Was bed ridden for 3 months because of an infection. Otherwise.. it ruled. NOT!

I had a really bad dentist though so don't take my post to heart. When that was done, it was just the one side, he didn't set my jaw back in place right and it developed an infection which he said there wasn't one, went to a normal doctor and he wanted to shoot the dentist. The other side wasn't bad at all when I had them removed years later. Saw a better dentist.

Why do people have their wisdom teeth removed?
If you build it, they will come.

I like my wisdom teeth. Used to stab them with needles and nuts when they annoyed me when they started pushing through the gums. All grown now.
I wouldn't mind stabbing you in the face, if that's cool with you?

Why do people have their wisdom teeth removed?

The roots of a wisdom teeth become really really long and because of where they are located, can often times push against the nerves and sinuses. So it does kinda poses problems in those areas.

Wisdom teeth are one of the last teeth to push through the gums as well. Often times, one does not have enough room for the wisdom teeth to push through. So it pushes the molars causing them to push against other teeth and gives people crooked teeth which is one reason to have them removed. Another reason, is that because the wisdom teeth are the last ones to push through, they are also the slowest teeth to push through the gumline. Because of this, it can cause infections to the gum because of the air pockets that surround the tooth.

Last but not least... in some people, the wisdom teeth may never push through. Making it hard for the roots of the tooth to get the nutrient it needs to keep the toogh strong strong such as calcium. So the tooth just sits there rotting under the gums and eventually infects the surrounding gum, sinuses and nerves that are about it.

And there is your explanation as to wisdom teeth get cut out. If you're extremely lucky and the wisdom tooth manages to push it's way out fully, it doesn't need to be cut out and can be pulled out. If you're even luckier, you don't have to have your wisdom teeth removed at all. Very rare though.

I had mine removed as they had impacted into my jaw bone and caused me to black out in strange places because of pain. I remember waking up after having them out and wanting to beat up the nurse when she tried to take my ice pack away. I also recall 2 bruises down my chest, looked as though the doc had kneeled on my chest for a better angle. My hubby however is nearing 40 and is still living in harmony with his wisdom teeth. I think it just depends on the person.
Why is it you can sue a cigarette company for cancer, McDonalds for getting fat, but you cant sue Smirnoff for all the ugly people youve slept with?!

Yeah I had anastesia but it didn't kick in till 3 hours after the surgery was already done. I felt them break my jaw, cut my gums, remove the tooth, EVERYTHING. A few doctors were punched, few nurses were kicked acrossed the room. So believe me dude, I can imagine your pain.
