tbh i was sleeping....

I got woke up by my roomate at the time saying check this out and he turned on the tv in my room.... we watched for basically the whole day in disbelief... mixed feelings, and really didn't understand it at all. it was just surreal.

I was on my way home from collage, one of the first days I had been in, remember being on the bus and some one said that a helicopter had crashed into a building by mistake. Thought it was a bit harsh, but not such a huge deal, then got home on put news on and was glued to the screen till about 3am. Very sad day.
If smoking 1 cig takes 30 seconds from my life, but laughing adds 5 minutes, if I get stoned every night do I live forever?

Best advice is what the others gave you. Don't post if you're going to be ignorant.

That coming from you is just amazing.

on 9/11 i was at school and found out about it on the school bus going home, but on 7/7 in london i found out about it when i watched the news. my heart goes out 2 anyone that lost someone close, because i came close to losing someone special 2 me in the london train bombs.

and when princess di died i fell off my horse showjumping as the minute scilence started and i yelled the f word loudly as everyone went silent. i wont forget that either.

... Was sleeping. Woke up and first thing I see in newspaper headlines is something like "THE TWIN BUILDING TERRORIZED!!!" and the title occupied half the front page... thought newpapers were bored or something o.o....;;

I was at work...it was just...crazy.

Sera, you are in MWC? I used to live there (born and raised) and have family there still. I got into a discussion with some folks about the WTC thing and (stupidly, I suppose) admitted that I didn't feel it as personally as I felt the Federal Building (lots of ties to that building, and if it hadn't been for some incorrect information my dad would have been in that building when it went up). Naturally this made me the evil person of the day. It's not that I don't care or don't feel bad for those who were personally touched by 9/11 (as in, touched more than living in the same country); I just don't think I need to pretend that it was the worst day of my life or that everything had changed. My life changed with Murrah being blown up by our own citizens.

I think watching the Challenger incident was even more traumatic for me--but then I was in 1st grade at the time (Traub Elementary...lord that was eons ago).

Arg...I'm ranting a bit.
Welcome to the human race.
