There are no set rules for boss drops.

I've nearly always given the drop, if I was in the situation, to the person who was there the longest. But there are no set rules concerning it. So let him cry about it, least he'll learn a valuble lesson.

Technically, if you pick it up off the floor, it is rightfully yours... finders, keepers! However, it is always good etiquette to give it to the person who claimed the kill, if they have not already PKed you! Otherwise, there is no stopping you from taking it and running off with it... just don't expect to be Mr. Popular from now on!

Comes down to past personal experiences. I would give back to most people on this game just out of good will. Others, especially clans and some people I would keep and laugh at for revenge from one of the many times I have missed out on a boss which I have done all the work for.
I wouldn't mind stabbing you in the face, if that's cool with you?

Happened to me when I first started playing. Had a full inventory at the Crystal Giant. Person kept the ring even tho i got the kill.

I learned a great deal that day.

So my adivse is to keep it. If you don't teach them anything they won't learn. . .

Amazingly I have seen this happen several times, when the person who kills the boss loses the item due to having a full inventory.....
I think its pretty funny actually and find it amusing when someone else picks it up.

picking up items does not require stamina

and if your full inventory, you should have a better chance of picking up before anyone else. clan, ally, enemy, the results justify the means. play hardball.
