Yea, i'm addicted to World of Warcraft, and about 99.9% of all my free time goes to WoW, but every now and then it can get old, and I'll get bored, and for that .1% i'm thinking about buying Halo 2, X-box Live, and a Router? So is it worth it? I mean how fun can it be? I"ve read on the internet that it can get boring really fast.

I've only played Halo 2 a couple times, when i rented it, but I was the master at Halo, so i can still do pretty good.

Anyways, if some people who acutally have it, can give me feed back then, <3
I only log on to check memos, and rare chat. See you all on the other side.

don't be turned off because non-nerds like halo 2. just because you'll have to share your "environment" with the people despise doesn't have to mean you hate on it. keep it real, do your best, and appreciate the game for what it its.

the best first person shooter EVER. don't hate.

rofl!

cs allows you to use mics. As does Ut, quake, call of duty, RTCW etc... and, if you don't like them (or if I'm wrong and they don't have them, which I would be very suprised about), you can download teamspeak, spype or ventrilo, just to name a few. Hell, you can even use msn.

Just because you don't understand things, it doesn't mean they "dont exist".

haha oh I'm sorry, I forgot you are an idiot. It's really challenging I can tell... oh no, I have to hold down k (default key in some games) to talk with my mic... oh dear, I'm never going to understand how to do this, it is just too hard

Or you can just go to the control options (takes 2 seconds) click on communication (takes 1 second) click on the voice command option (takes 1 second) and click with the new keyboard/mouse button you want to bind it to (takes 1 second). But then, that is also far too challenging for you to do as well. I mean, your running around in game, but to talk to someone you have to HOLD DOWN A SINGLE BUTTON AND SPEAK. WOW, UBER HARD TO DO!

I'm surprised someone as pathetic as you are doesn't know more about games. But then, you just spend your entire life on NM, so you wouldn't know much about anything else, would you?

loads more sexy

Oh yeah, those huge chunky controllers really turn me on.

Is that because you realized how much of an improvement over consoles it is, or because you just sucked at the proper games and couldn't take it?

Malavon STFU u seem to be the freak here defending pc games like if it was your wife. See with Xbox live u dont need to worry about buying expansions for games cuz when they are available u get em and over 70% of the time free. and u dont have to worry if your xbox dont meet the requirements or needing a new graphics card. All u need is a xbox and bam u dont have to be trading it in almsot every year worrying about updating it like a PC

halo 2 = best fps nuff said

/opinion on

Halo 2 = Most widely marketed fps right now. Not best. Gives those who aren't really any good at the older fast-paced shooters a game they can be good at. Perfect Dark had a horrible tendency to lag, even on just two players, but even that required more skill than Halo/Halo 2.

/opinion off

Personally, I've played Halo on xbox and on PC. And just so you know, Malavon, you can get a keyboard and mouse for xbox. I've played a few computer fps's, but Halo's community on xbox live is just funner in general I think. I'm used to playing console anyway, and I think it takes more skill to get used to a custom controller than a keyboard and mouse you use everyday.

But anyone that gets H2 and xbox live would definately enjoy it, I can tell you now all the time I used to spend on NM is now used bettering my BR skills on H2.

Just cause you can't run with the big guns on console games, doesn't mean you gotta hate cause you got raped.

and btw, don't try and flame me about NM cause I havent posted on this forum in 2 months and only bother to log on when someone wants me to join PT and leave so they can start it. Unlike someone who's quit how long ago and still frequently bothers this forum with their incessant droning about other games because it boosts an ego.

B) Have fun nubs.
Then I find it kind of funny, I find it kind of sad

I'll give you the lowdown on Xbox live and Halo 2 from my perspective.

It's good, and even great if you have the time to play it (A.K.A, No full time job+school), but like every mass gathering of people, you're always going to find a good amount of idiots in the bunch.

I'm a highly devoted Nintendo fan (step off, GCN rocks) but I know a good game when I see one, so I bought an xbox, halo2 and didn't really bother with a router.

It's playable without a headset, but do yourself a great favor and get one, because then you'll be able to strategize with fellow teammates and what not, and participate in the occasional social chatting.

WORK WITH YOUR TEAM! You can choose between a 'team' game and a 'free for all' game. It's not sensible to team in a free for all, so don't gung-ho it in team. You want your teammates to listen when you give a suggestion, so listen when they give one as well.

One thing that helps (if you play the game for fun and not because you have no life) is to intentionally stay at a low level. The reason I say this is because at the current state, higher levels are usually cheaters. Aside from standby, they exploit glitches and if (god forbid) you're actually better than them, they'll spew profanity and accuse you of cheating simply because there's someone else out of the million+ people on live that is up to par on their play level.

If or when you get Xbox live, keep an open mind and don't go doing stupid things like saying:
"SONY/NINTENDO RULES M$ SUCKS!"
"newb"
anything racial/too much profanity. most dont' mind the occasional swear but when it's every other word it's uncalled for.

Don't belittle the youner players (15and under). Granted, they're not supposed to be playing an M rated game, but sometimes they show a lot more maturity than others do, and when they are mature, treat them as such.

One last note, if you ever cancel your subscription to xbox live, do yourself a favor and call them to confirm your cancellation. I didn't, and their server "accidently" charged me for a month's service after I had canceled and ran me into the overdraft charges with my bank. Now for my bank to despute it, I have to stay with them for another 3 months. :C

All in all, XBOXLIVE rocks. But, like Nightmist, don't throw all social graces out the window when you log in or you will soon find yourself banned. And while I'm not one to try and test it, I'm sure Microsoft's heart isn't as big as Simon's.

I mean that to say if you get banned from xboxlive, kiss that 50 bucks goodbye. No refund, no unban.

On a side note, please dont try and turn this into a "i hate simon" thread. I personally don't know the guy but it does get quite unnerving for the topic to switch to something that really should be settled between just two people.

This post is is/was not meant to degrade/criticize anyone in any way, shape or form. This is an explanation and a side note. Have a good day or have a bad one if you want to.
