Happy Winter-een-mas ^^

On the 28th (we can't do it through the 25th-27th because of school), we'll spend a day just hanging out at a friend's basement playing DDR.
Then the next day we're spending a good solid 24 hours playing DnD (my DM friend is adding in special character traits like h4x0rz which means you can't go out into daylight without sunglasses or eye-protection but you're amazing when it comes to doing things with your fingers not to mention he's adding NPCs named Ethan and Lucas XD). This is the day I'm personally looking forward to.
Then we've got anime day lined up after that. We haven't decided on an anime but we're thinking Gundam Seed or Full Metal Alchemist or maybe we'll just fill it with Ghost in a Shell and Ninja Scroll.
And finally, for the last day (since we have exams that week), we're going to dig up some Magic decks and blow the dust off Risk and just play that for a day. ^.^
Not to mention I'll spend a good hour emailing the good people at Blizzard, Square-Enix and Midway. ^^
So what do you have lined up?
Note: If you have no clue what I'm talking about, shame on you. You really should know what Winter-een-mas is.

I have heard of that day in like ctrl+alt+del or something. Last time I played video games for a couple hours I got videogame headache...man I hate that. It's the worst kind of headache, because you are constantly reminded that you just wasted hours playing videogames.

Still, it's fun. XD
But either way, I'm determined to celebrate it this year. And I have no problem playing video games for hours on end.
(Technically, DnD isn't a video game nor is anime )
Ugh... I can't believe I forgot to put this in the first post but we're also doing a Halo 2 lan party. ^^; We did it once before and it was uber fun so we said, "Hey, why not?" Though, we haven't thought up a place to set up... >_>

haha, it was funny. I played PSMO and I just gave up and fell off the machine.
PS Funnest song is Tsugaru on Heavy. Colors Oni would be horrendously fun if it had more gallops where it is supposed to.

Winter-een-mas is Jan. 25-31 [...] Winter-een-mas is a celebration of video games and the gamers that play them. The goal is to focus on how much entertainment video games bring into our lives
I'm unlikely to celebrate with friends, my friends which like games have fled back to their respective uni's... and my new uni friends aren't big on computer games
Can I come gatecrash your gathering Squee? I mean sure I might take a liiiiiittle while for me to -get- to Canada but
All those American WoW gatherings though... wonder if the EU beta will have anything ^^

Sorry to go off-topic.
I may partake in Winter-Een-Mas.. But I'll have to do so alone. Pretty much the only gamer around my area.

I got the tshirt. It is pretty sweet.
My plans for WEMas are to wear my tshirt to class every single day (mwahaha) and just to make it nice and cozy. Me and the bf got a ton of new games for the holiday and even got a GameCube. Been playing a lot of old games lately. Sort of a tribute to when I was younger.

a holiday developed by nerds, for nerds. how awesomely pathetic. as long as you stay within the confines of your dull rooms, have at it.
i just hope this flacid excuse of a celebration doesn't catch on, or else i'm going to have to get people WEmas cards....just how valentine's day began (aka the biggest excuse to pay for the poon you're already recieving).
happy wemas.

I know. I mean, I heard about this one holiday developed by these weird and creepy people. They all went out of their way to buy gifts for each other just to let each other know that they belonged. And then they all spent time together and were happy. God, it was so weird when I read about it. They called it "Christmas" or something - totally bizarre if you ask me.a holiday developed by nerds, for nerds. how awesomely pathetic.
I mean, why on earth would you create a holiday that brings people together for a common interest in order to make them happy? People these days...when will they learn...
PS. As a side note, if you read the FAQs at WEMas' site, it says that you aren't supposed to buy gifts for each other (though no one'll really stop you if you want to; just like I can give out presents on Easter).
But I've gone off on a tangent and I've probably caused more animosity than anything. So I'll close off by saying Happy Winter-een-mas, all. Hope you all remembered to email your favourite game-companies your thanks.
