Alright... Say u have a Adament Warhammer or Colbalt Staff of Winds u can get ur name engraved (Just your Name) it for a set price like 50k a letter so it will say Mercury's Adament Warhammer or Mercury's Colbalt Staff of Winds. It could be done at a blacksmith...and you could remove the engrave for half the price or somthing... so to add mercury would be 350k and the 's comes with it...
Also u could have a set of premade add-ons like--for 500k each
Legendary- Mercury's Legendary Adament Warhammer
Master- Mercury's Master Adament Warhammer
If u think of any more add-ons plz post
Name Engrave

say with unique or fairly costly items i could see that being a nifty idea for theft prevention. someone's name being engraved into something would be a strong indicator that someone didn't intend to sell or lose it. it would also bring added value in some instances, and in most would detract from value. i mean this so long as it can never be removed, of course.
as a side not, how about carving stuff into the enviroment?

lol, this reminds me of the idea, of leaving notes of the ground, someone could pick it up, and look it over, and could read it, but that's wierd.
On topic, it would seem to decrease theft of items, but what if someone borrows the weapon? Or they want to sell it. If they sell it, they would have to remove the thing, which people who steal it can also do, I would think. In short, not supported.

Why not just make it so the IP of the owner is the only one that can remove the name?

i like the idea in general, but as already said it has some faulties.
