i knew amy would win, but i figured because who she is and not because of her song, which seems to be what happened, either that or you didnt take into consideration the original thing you said 'like the original'. dont get me wrong, i like amy and all, but if you -try- to sing her song out, its nothing like the song, it doesnt really keep a beat. charons also kinda changed aftr a couple verses. maybe the contest should have been open longer so that more worthy songs/poems could have been submitted.

The idea of "the same format" can be taken in many ways... it didn't say "Make a song with alternate words which is exactly like the original" and stating 'the same format' allows people to take the essence of the song and be a little more creative.

In defence of mine... I know it doesn't exactly fit without forcing it but it's all in fun.

However to say that Amy won because of who she is and not her song not only unfair, but also quite mean spirited.

Amy's was, in many ways, the most original use of the format.
Amy won... be happy for her

Don't try and degrade her win - There's no use trying to insinuate bias in a fun event... Tis the season of goodwill to all men, and so on and so forth.
