Okay, I know, say if you wanna buy an arch druid, say half elf, enter the lvl 30, class druid, and race half elf. And it would pull up all the arch half elf druids. It would be easier to search when you wanna buy stuff, of possibly sell stuff, so you know what you could be competing with. If something is left blank, then it is basicly anything, so if you put druid half elf, it would bring all the half elf druid, The search involved: Class; Race; Level; HP (so if you want a 305hp+ ranger to buy x.x); MP; possibley stats as well. I would like this to be put in, I would use it

This is definitely a good way to get exactly what you want without the risk of being conned - if it isn't much to program, I support it.

I think this topic has been brought up before, because I remember stating how the queried crits will be sorted, because if it is, say, alphabetical, then I can imagine people naming their crits "Aaaaaaaa" to make sure theirs appears first.

I suggested this.. A hell of a long time ago, so long ago it was probably deleted from the old forum in that clean up JLH did, ages ago ;p

class/race/level can be done since that is public info
hp/mp/stats however are not
would it really be that useful though?

HP and MP shouldn't be, although people are getting incredibly picky these days. I feel though that searching for specific stats though would be very important - some people will want 5 and 6-stats, while others are happy with 3 or 4-stats... but to avoid conning and such, knowing stats would be necessary. Of course... it not being public information would make a query somewhat slow and draining on the server's resources, won't it?

i see good points and bad points with this.

Good points: you would be able to see the characters past history
and to make your own educated decisions on you rbidding. however.

Bad points are that they could see who has the best stats and hp and decide that the truly want it but the person isnt selling and try and hack for them..


its truly sad but i see this becoming a hazard rather then a helping tool.

I would rather stats not be able to be looked up on the website--in any way at all.

Same with HP/Mana.


Searching for class/race/level would be cool, but beyond that I feel is private information that people should never have to share with other players.

Support the search for race/class/level, people would make fun of my high hp bad stat crits though :'( . I think this could be pretty useful.

I don't know if this was said in the original post... but maybe make a /toggle option that will make a note on this search that this crit is actually for sale? /toggle critsell or something?

i meant public as in people can see it.
private info is hp/mp/stats whereby players may not want other people to know what they have got.
it wouldn't be a slow query on the server's database.

jlh I think it would be a great idea because countless times I wanna buy something odd like a human zerker and its impossible to track down their current names I think it should be added with lvl exp and name and you could do a search on it

Hmm, I see, then yeah, I still see it as being useful, even without showing stats and hp/mp. I'm in full support of the reivised idea ^^
