walk this way i agree with, the rest... psh

you can't say what exactly the greatest song of all times is. you're simply listing your fav songs, other people will differ for sure.

but yer, Walk this way was good, and was funny with Run DMC. :)

Bohemian Rhapsody! for sure one of the best pieces of work ever.

ELO - Turn to Stone

John Lennon - Imagine all the people

Van Halen - Eruption

Led Zepplin - Stairway to Heaven, Rock n' Roll, Kashmir.
And he had in his right hand seven stars: and out of his mouth went a sharp twoedged sword: and his countenance was as the sun shineth in his strength.

I think the new metallica stuff is good and so is the old but i hate the black album lol maybe its just becaue i listin to it so much.
There are 3 main groups i like more than anything now that i think about it.

Black Sabath-Came out of all the guys sining like girls wearing tight pants and such and sung songs that were not about girls all the time.

Metallica-Came after Black sabath and perfected rock and roll (my most favorite)

Nirvana-Kirt Cobane(prolly spelt wrong) We will never forget you! This man just had so much hart in his music and was obviously depressed. This band is just great because there music was so great and true.
I have a gut like Budha.

It's not quite a fair topic, because music is being made everyday that is awesome. Also, people tend to classify older rock songs that were really popular as 'the best songs of all time'. There's more to music than guitars and drums.

Let me tell you this. I have heard music made by a 19 year old kid that works at Fry's that is awesome. Some of the best stuff I have heard.

Also, I don't think it is fair to judge music if you don't create it. The people that really make awesome music put a lot of love into their music. More than you know.

Anyways, those are my thoughts on this. hah, reminded me of Maddox...sorry just typing to myself.

I agree...I can't create music to save my life so I really don't feel like I have a solid basis to make judgements on.

Still...

Stairway to Heaven, definately. Bohemian Rhapsody, obviously. White Room (by Cream), certainly.
If you build it, they will come.

Take That - How Deep Is Your Love

-starts to sing-
Damn, if you could hear me. How you'd be running for the hills :)

But seriously, top three:
Little Angels - Women Cry
Eric Clapton - Change the World
Deep Purple - Hush

Why are there no more real songs these days?

Something that'll last longer than a couple of years. Can you seriously imagine, being 40 (I'm 18, so a way off yet) and buying a DVD 'Best of Brand New Live'... I think I'd rather die.
I can think of a couple of groups, but nothing compared to the likes of Deep Purple, Queen, Cream, AiC and The Beetles. There are more, but I can't be bothered to list every old, still cool group.

Bohemian Rhapsody is the greatest in my opinion; but others that need mentions would be:

Stairway to Heaven
Under the Bridge
Machine Gun.
You have to forget about what other people say, when you're supposed to die, or when you're supposed to be loving. You have to forget about all these things. You have to go on and be crazy. Craziness is like heaven.

i know what the greatest songs of all time are. yet, in 2000 more years, i have a sad feeling that folks will be singing 'don't stop believing' and 'hot in here' while hundreds of thousands of musicians and lovers of music roll in thier graves (thus allowing future generations to harness our posthumous discontent as an efficient form of power).
wouldn't it be funny if rich had registered this name first, and you were bickering with him?

Why? People take rap as if it isn't hard to accomplish, you need skill.

Personally i hate rap. Used to love it, but i know it takes talent...as for the best song ever..

The Rasmus - In The Shadows.
