heh, I spent an hour before, drawing up a work version of how pets could be..

Then saved it and archieved it, cus I knew it'd never be added to Nightmist :)

Also Cyric drew up an idea for familiars (sp?) that were similar to pets, which was awesome. I'll go find a link..

I love familiars. NM would be pretty cool with pets or familiars. Would pets be controllable by their owner though? Would they bey able to move around on a different square than their owner? Just a few questions. :)

If I had a familliar and it died...would I have to get a new one? Or would I pay for it to have it revived? Or would it be gone forever? :)

I think it'd be neat if I could have a puppy that followed me around when i was in town and i left it at gates or something.

1 problem = too many people having a pet follow them around, solve this by only showing the pet to the person who owns it or have them stack like monsters.

Could have commands such as /petstay (it stops following you) /petplay it brings up some kind of fetch game like what the game room in clan houses does....i dunno..lots of pretty cool stuff could be done with them...it may be difficult to code, and in all truth and honesty i'd like this more than new items that are = to the items we have already but not as much as more area added to game and stuff...so..ya..

You'd need some sort of limit as to how many pets you could have per account

I really don't see this working, you have to leave your pets at home when you go out and fight your battles and get experience in the real world. Your home is your clan so just have a puppy or what ever in your clan house as your pet and he'll never get hurt or anything :)

Umm.. Oracle, you can keep your boring pet in the clan house... some of us would actually want to do stuff with it :)

If we're not allowed them to leave the clan house, at least give us some that follow us around the clan house..

On another note, Familiars arent something every class can just control right out.

And the idea of just plain pets is kind of.... useless, but would be... Cool I guess heh
