just wondering ....when i get to where sylvia and rel athon both are in treasure room and i kill them...i open a chest or something and get a mana crystal.when i attempt to go west,it says i cant,an item is required ...

what im asking in short is what else do i need or have to do to find the dagger? thanks for your help! Teresa

After you've killed both Sylvia and Rel, go once north. That's the room where the Chest spawns (as you know). After destroying the chest and getting the Scarlet Dagger. Don't go West, it requires a 'key' (got to think out of the box).
Just go Up, and you'll be fine.

so the drop is random...and the mana crystal i have gotten is my "booby" prize instead of the dagger ? thanks for the info!!

Rel Thon's Chest also spawns in that room. You possibly haven't been there when it's spawned before.

The Chest you're killing at the moment only ever drops the Mana and Gold. Same as Coffers only drop the Healing potion and Gold (hope they're the right way around).

If my memory serves me correctly, there is a mirror to the west - it's a magic mirror that requires a magical item to power it
