I was working on my new clan house today and I thought that a good way to have steady donations comming in would be to add /clan toll <direction> <ammount>. I'm creating my clan house like a town and like some cities they have an entry fee to join the Kitchen, or Item Banks. Like basic tolls, add the ammount gold you want donated. Some people may not use this, but it's optional, can't hurt who doesn't want it added.

Sounds like a fine idea to me since the founder/chairperson can specify exactly where it is and how much it costs.

Sure it can't hurt really- people who don't want to use it don't have to.
But I think charging people to move around your clanhouse is a little... mean...

I mean... when new people join the clan, and they sorta roam around going "hmm, whats this" ... seems sorta unfair that their money might be dropping simply due to their curiosity ^^

Well I guess you can do whatever you want with your own clan even if it isn't my perception of how a friendly clan should be

well........its not a "bad" idea so to speak because its optional but i think one thing shud b added, if a new member joins a clan they shud b told that there is a toll on certain rooms in the house summit like "this clan has a toll for some rooms in its clan house" or something along those lines

Personally, I would not use it, as I think gold should be generously donated to the clan via a player's free will, if not earnt yourself. Of course, that is just me, and some people might want to charge people to use their vaults or whatever...

As long as founders/chairperson can control how it works, I would not have a problem with it.

P.S. would the founders get charged too, or do they have VIP passes for the clan's toll turnpikes?!

Supported i guess even though its not a very nice to charge people in your clan money just for food or sumthing. Might be okay if the donation allowed you to use it so many times until you need to repay for the same amount of uses( Sorta like an IPass, which the name varies in other states, where you pay so much money and you can go through toll booths on the highway until it renews the IPass account with money again.

Great idea... the poorer members pay while the founders (who are usually richer anyway) dont have to

Reading through everyone's concerns, I still think it's a good idea.

Maximas: I'm sure if this is going to be added, there will be planning involved by the development team. Passes to be bought, a more variance of clan rooms to buy. Clan Polls should not be added untill this is added.

The Mexican: You might get rich quick by 100-200 gold tolls, but for us 'wealthy folk', it would be pocket change. This is purely to fund the clan slowly, for the clans who do want donations from their members. Which is why I suggested it to be optional.

Crane: If the Chairman/Founders weren't given a special exception, they would be able to change the clan tolls to 0 to get into the room and change it back when they've entered. Soooo, I'm sure they would.

I make note that this is not for all clans, but there are some who could put it to good use.
