German Cardinal Ratzinger is the new Pope and he chose the name Benedict XVI

All I can say is, man am I glad I'm not catholic anymore. I know I should be proud that it's a countryman of mine who is now the head of the catholic church, but Ratzinger is entirely too conservative. I would have hoped for someone a little more progressive.
