On main, PKing is exactly why this command makes sense. It is ridiculous for players to know what party you have logged in and track you by that.
IE- O, Gaddy is on all clerics, let me check DG and SK.
Is not something we want to have happen.
Anyway, it will be interesting. We'll just wait and see how it turns out.

There are 44 characters online, (7 users).
Nightmist City Bank: You're in a bank. You may exit East onto Viper Street, or go Down into the vault.
A Bank Clerk is here with you.
There are 27 characters online, (4 users).
Try to figure it out
And to Gaddy - "

If that is your reason for main having this then why doesn't 1a?
"DA is on all clerics lets check Sk/Dg"
"DA is on all Thieves lets check gristle"
I would of said "Pande is etc" but we all know what pande is always on

We are always on the prowl for pks and boss kills?
We are always on your face, showing you our roosters?
We are always on our game?
We are always on Bad ass characters?
We are always on thieves?
All of the above?
Hitokir stand before you posing, flexing his Rooster.
BTW, notice how main needs this and that to be better off. We need pk on, but we need to be able to be cloaked so we do not get pwned.
We need pk on, but we only want to continue to loose 1.5 million exp if we die.
We need to be able to run 20 alts because running 1 alt and having to be sociable is not our way of doing it.
you Main Guys.

Sorry, there are some decent justifications for this aside from to lower the ability of players to track PKs and PKers. After the initial proposal and explaination, the entire staff team supported it.
It wasn't my concept, so I am probably not the best person to explain why it came up, etc.

To be honest, I do not think it will make the game appear too inactive, especially since /server shows the true count and you can still see hidden crits in the same clan as you when you type #. Maybe to minimise the effect of the server appearing quiet, have something along the lines of this under /who:
There are 44 characters online, (7 users). (17 characters and 3 users hidden)
ADDENDUM: Maybe not "hidden", as that implies being covert like Thieves; "cloaked"? "anonymous"?

It's basically another way of it being nopk.
This should have been discussed between players instead of just staff before it was put in.

It helps PKers as well. Sets of thieves logged in, etc, can no longer be kept on a watch list, etc.

will someone else explain it then? because it is really lame and from just reading this post the player base doesnt agree with it...
