When I go running or to the gym I find it quite hard to shut off and ignore everything, and keep 100% motivated on the task at hand. So I'm going to get an MP3 player to use. So I need to choose some tunes to put on it.

"Eye of the Tiger" and Eminem's "Lose yourself" I find are great. However, what does everyone else find as a great track?

Anything by rammstein if your not German, cool tunes and singing along is hard when dont understand or speak German. :(

Personally i prefer chill out music such as Enya, Enigma or Moby for that sort of thing though.

well, when im working out, i have my own home gym, so its usally just me so its easier to tune everything out, but a public gym, is what im assuming you go to...but either way, i use alot of techno, it kinda pumps me up but u kinda have to have a taste for that type of music. anything else, would be system of a down..they keep me going to.. :(

Wow, a fellow runner! I've been running for 5 years (track, cc, junior olympics, soon NCAA DI) and I too love running with music. Sadly, a while ago I got caught out in the rain and it drained my MP3 player's memory card. Some songs I liked were....

U2 - New Year's Day

Tantric - Breakdown/Astounded

STP - Plush

Powerman5000 - When Worlds Collide

Red Hot Chili Peppers

Rage Against the Machine

Alice in Chains

Incubus...

some songs/artists of the top of my head ^^

If I were the rain... that binds together the Earth and the Sky, whom in all eternity will never mingle... would I be able to bind two hearts together?

Sandstorm - Darude ... a great one to jog to.

Eye of the Tiger by Survivor is definitely another good one for motivation.
