3 more strength and 3 more con is much more significant than just 1.If you prefer Dwarf thieves over Halflings, you would most likely prefer Half-Orc Zerkers over Dwarves. As far as the wisdom goes.. I rolled Knine the day half orcs were introduced into the game, and have been on him ever since, and can't remember a single time I wished his wis could be higher. If a mage has the ballz to smack a zerker in the first place, you can bet he most likely has a few invis buddies with him, and you are going to drop, reguardless of wisdom.
If one would prefer dwarves theives more than halfling theives, here is what I suppose the thinking is.
Halflings are rather weak, when they hit it isn't for really all that much, and of no real consequence. Also, dwarves can one-round more people than halflings, and be one-rounded by less.
On the other hand, even though half-orcs are stronger than even dwarves. They'll hardly hit anyone, (16 dex), so they're not much of a threat either.
That's what I suppose, I might be wrong. I have no thief...

I didn't know you played nightmist 24-7. No wonder you're an archie.

I don't think either is better really, its just which you'd rather have and what works best with what alts/party you use.

/t Mec I would strongly suggest gaining a bit of hands on experience with a particular class, before throwing out your oppinions on it. And if you think H-O Zerks "aren't much of a threat", then you are one of the few.. if not the only one. Tell ya what though.. catch me in game, and I'll give you a shot at some free research, and may even throw in a few one way tickets to your local Pub.

too true; any zerker is dangerous and ones with more strength and hp are a nightmare/nod Xian

I don't have much experience with hight level crits, no, but I've spent much time on lower level characters and usually those rules apply there.
I don't do many half-orcs because the dex is just scary.
If zerkers are totally based on rounding, I would prefer to round.
I say dwarves are better, I'm probably wrong, but I say it just the same.
