I was thinking of there been a new skill for rangers, because it sucks when you miss alot there should b an ability (take aim) which has a much btr hit rate but deals less damage. say u get it at lvl 12 or something can only b used with bows so less ppl will show of with spider staffs :blink:
just leave comments or extra ideas :)

As long as theres an option to turn it on/off it sounds ok to me.

There was an idea like this before by Newb.

He suggested an ability - Aimed Fire - (or something of the sort) that was a ranger ability where they missed very very little or something like that....don't really remember all of the info.

I think it'd be best to take 2 stamina to use an attack (Aimed Fire or something) and have it miss very seldomly. Have it deal attack damage x1.5 + 1 damage per level. I am not really sure of that formula, it may be too much damage, i didn't check it.

(realize that rapid fire = attack damage x2, same with dual shot..or at least im pretty sure that is how those work...)

Aimed fire would do best with 46 damage per 2 stam.

Thanks Gaddy, I was going to bring that up.

Mine was basically 2 stam for a guaranteed hit at 1.5x damage + level.

All in all it's a neat ability for lower levels and even higher levels, but it will become obsolete to the superior rapid fire.

btw, isnt Rapid Fire like x3? cuz it'd b stupid if daul shot did same dmg as rapid fire

obsolete? think here, say bas you hit for is 20, period, thats it; (20*1.5+30)5=300 gauranteed...rapid fire wouldnt be used at all.

you know, you might wanna learn more about the game before you post. dual shot and rapid fire deal same ammount of damage

It would use two stamina, and do less than dual shot.

i like this idea cus my ranger ALWAYS misses and it really annoys me... sometimes she'll miss 4 times in a row and it totally sucks... so at least this way it would be a little easier leveling her cus maybe she would actually hit something for a change!!!! :)

but u might as well just use normal attack, it hardly misses with higher lvls and can still do 30+s

Ling ranger with dual shot, no spells, steel long, bow did 70s.

Why not just make an ability like rage but it's lower strength and higher dex.

Call it 'focus'.

why not make it temporary and it takes 2 stamina to use?
it could be like +1 strength +1 dex, but it takes 2 stamina to use and after 3 uses it wears off. that would make it so you could only attack 3 times at once with an arch, and only 2 times in a row with andything with 4 stamina. i am not sure if im making sence, but what do you think?

As to why people would still use rapid fire, ppl use it now (I think) because it doesnt give the person you are fighting a chance to heal/use pots. in a mosh, iwth macros, you can hit someone with 5 stam before they know they have the time to drink a pot. If more than one person has you macroed, and you dont got drinking the potion macroed, youre dead, if ppl get good hits on you.
