Hide ability...Similar to that of covert.
Level Required: lvl 15

Head shot or Snipe... Full stamina hit that ignores armor. Similar to that of smite and assassinate.( can only be used in Hide mode)
Level Required:30

Rangers are incredibly skilled warriors, able to perform sneak attacks like sniping an unaware opponent from a hidden state. Carelessly wandering around the wilderness could be the last thing you ever do.

I believe that these new abilities could give balance back to rangers a little more and give them recognition of dignity. I remember when i first started. Rangers where amazing characters. Feared above all else!! and they should return to their great stature in the great game of Nightmist. Discussion please.

So...make rangers into thieves with bows?
No thanks.

When I picture rangers I think of Chuck Norris. Not exactly the type that hides and aims for the head.

Really though I think rangers are fine just the way they are, on main they rock and on 1a you you should have no problem training one up yourself without new special abilities.

I would like to see rangers having the ability to use swords in addition to bows, maybe as a secondary weapon.

Skill - Charge.

Effect. (Uses three stamina points)

The ranger runs towards his target, firing two shots with his bow and the last strike with his sword.

IE.

Abstract charges towards Stig, firing a deadly arrow from his Enchanted Bow causing 75 points of damage.
Abstract charges towards Stig, firing a deadly arrow from his Enchanted Bow causing 72 points of damage.
Abstract charges towards Stig, leaping into the air and slashing down on Stig with his Fancy Short Sword for 65 points of damage.

This would allow rangers to perform a move that does not reduce all of there stamina (Allowing them to still move and retreat), and because the secondary weapon would be a short sword or dagger, this would allow the ranger to have a small ammount of vampyric or poison etc, aswell as there main bow. (This secondary weapon would not stop the ranger from equipping a shield, as it would be a small weapon concealed in a belt etc). Possible benefits would be an increased chance to dodge, maybe 5%, after casting this spell. (The ranger would be moving at speed to engage in close combat).

Stig assassinated Abstract.

In all seriousness though, Rapid Fire breaks through monster armour without any problems and does a fair amount of damage against players. Rangers are pretty strong if you know how to use them, and they have a readily-available magical weapon, which gives them an advantage against the Crystal Giant etc.

OP thieves mate.

And i was more thinking of the visualisation. Just seems like it would be cool to imagine a ranger running forward firing a couple of shots, then leaping into the air and slashing someone with a hidden blade.

Its not needed really, i just thought it sounded cool.

However Rangers are probably the slowest physical offensive class to train, with low base damage and a really poor hit rate. Maybe some tweaking could be done to either their base attack or dual shots hit? They get very little benefit from swamps like thieves and berserkers who can just power through there to 25.

Still not hard to train really.. if anything make a weapon for swamps that fires flaming arrows...
overall tho, very efficient class.. I think currently in the game mages are the only thing that really need a little boost in terms of higher lvl pvp...

Classes shouldn't be constructed purely to throw off auto-trainers; instead, auto-trainers should be caught and banned.

Hypnotise now doesn't work as well as it used to, as some monsters have partial resistance to it.
