For version 2.53.4, i made the client downloading code a bit more compatible with proxy servers, but while doing that inadvertantly causing another bug for people's isps not using proxy servers.
This latest optional download 2.53.5 can be downloaded from the help/update menu, if that doesn't work, click "update the autoupdater" first, then click "quit and update game"
This is not needed if all your pictures are working fine, it's only for those people who's pictures stay on DL forever.
