This should be a strictly fun topic.  If I see flaming or douchebaggery, I'll lock it if staff doesn't get to it before me.  I'll post when I have more time.

-I'll start out by saying that I enjoy playing the game, especially with friends.

-Diversity of the player base.  Many countries can come together for a common enjoyment.  This makes personal life discussions fairly interesting and, well, diverse.

-I often explain to gamers who do not enjoy this type of game that this is fairly similar to World of Warcraft, except only in text.  The map is huge, in many cases large enough that even at the height of activity there is at least one area per person to train in, without coming in contact with another player.  Although, of course, some areas are more used than others.

-I wouldn't have been able to say this before, but I enjoy the frequent updates to the game.  We should all thank Gareth primarily, as he has taken over JLH's role to the best of his ability.  There has been input from Wesley and Danny and they should be appreciated as well, whether you like them or not.

I brought up the lack of PvP content.  Derlok's job, yet inactivity has consumed him.  Racial/Class content is being made up for slightly, thanks to the terrain adjustments.  Just not sure it's enough to satisfy, but it's better than it could be, truthfully.

I like just about everything game play wise.

I hate how easy the multi server is compared to the 1-alt server yet there is a refusal to fix huge detriments to the 1-alt server . . . e.g. cost of leveling and experience loss.

I hate the divisiveness of the 1-alt server. I have never cared for the PvP side of things, and it's frustrating to see the server split up so that challenging bosses are only rarely done.

1. Free to play
2. Simple to play
3. Recent increase in playerbase activity
4. Recent increase in staff activity
5. New areas added
6. Ability to level solo / without tokens
7. New items/equipment/weapons added

Dislikes:
1. Although it's not frequent, there is little one can do to defend themself from a PK (especially when nightshades are used). Dependent upon the environment/area/terrain, players should be able to detect nearby player activity within a certain amount of squares (I.e. "Your senses detect the trampling of nearby leaves"). Maybe make the ability to detect nearby activity based on a character stat (I.e. intelligence) or race (I.e. elves detect activity 10% of the time, half elves 5%, etc.)
2. Time consuming
3. No pvp events
4. Lack of active clans (only 2 dominant clans)

1-Alt: Outcast, Ajax, Raptor, Ronin, Discovery

Off the top of my head.

Likes:

Pretty much the game as a whole.. I can nitpick(and will in my dislikes) but I'm still here.. after years and that says something with how frequently I jump between different games to play in my free time. Nightmist has been a constant even if its only for a little time each week for me for years.

That I have the option to play multi where I don't need to work with others or even be social to get things done.. I'm a more solo content player so that caters to me personally.

That we have active staff in Gareth to implement some things and make some changes to benefit the game.

The variety of places to journey and explore along with the variety of different classes/races and mobs/areas/bosses.

Clans and Clan Houses that can be customized.

The handful of friends I've made here over the years from all over the place. I haven't kept in contact with alot of them but good times were had over the years here with a variety of people from pretty much everywhere.

The /dnd and /afk options aswell as /toggle loc

The leveling system on multi.

Crafting.. I love the idea of finding or gathering items and making useful stuff!

Dislikes:

The portion of the playerbase that enjoys cheating(auto rolling/auto clicking/multipcing) to get ahead or trying to run players off the game with harassment.. It doesn't benefit anyone and it isn't anything to brag about. This also includes all of the bickering on forums.

The leveling system on 1a.. as a casual player I could never keep up over there with the bit of time I get to actually play each week.

Account sharing being allowed.. and to a lesser extent the selling/buying of crits. I think people should be forced to roll and train their own crits within their account.

The lack of players and events.. alot have been driven off for one reason or another or moved on to different games leaving us without enough to have solid events like in the past(even the russian roulette was a blast).

The level cap being set to 40 instead of 30. Alot of the balance issues came with this and still haven't been fixed. I feel that it would be easier to balance the new tougher areas to level 30's than it is to keep trying to nerf/balance each class.

The 20 alt cap on multi.. a person can get ALOT done with 5-10 alts.. no need to overkill everything.

The lack of things to kill on my paci on multi(thank you for opening new spots up recently).. it can get boring hitting the same things/areas over and over while having to make 2x the exp as other classes(even if pacis are easier to level). Some of this can also be said for clerics.. just more things to kill with healing please!

Abuse of the roller(or atleast it seems that way).. I've never saw as many 5-6 stats get turned out as I have in the past year and there used to be alot more people rolling on a daily basis than there is now. Either the odds were loosened up or players are figuring out ways to abuse it.

The /toggle who on multi.. alot of us use it so we aren't bothered but at the same time it makes the server look dead all of the time and isn't really needed.

Shades/Bombs.. no need for things like shades and bombs to be used for pvp.. those things should only be usable vs monsters/bosses or taken out of the game completely.

The exp loss per death.. the game is a grind already! People should lose less exp and drop less items/gold from their inventory when they die.. it would encourage more exploring and more pve trips trying new things without feeling you're going to lose hours worth of work if you die once. Also pvp wouldn't be such a pain in the rear if you die a few times in a fight!

That JLH doesn't love us anymore and never spends time on us NM folks!

Edit for one more Dislike: Boss Spawns.. lately it hasn't been a problem finding them in on multi but what if their spawn rates were increased on some of the easier daily bosses(cg, dg, sk ect) and then lower the drop rates for the better items they drop so most times they just drop some gold or maybe a crafting material. This would give people who aren't super familiar with all the far out places a chance at gaining some good exp and fighting bosses.. I'm not talking hourly but maybe something like once every 5-10 hours? lowering the drop rates by a good chunk would also work towards fixing prices on things the realm is flooded with like cgs, sgs and hallys a bit imo.

I'd like to see Shades taken out of the game, personally.  Would make PKing more of an art.

Would still be a lot harder to get an enhance far away from town to PK some one in the middle of training.  I'd be happy with a log delay if shades were taken out.

what i would die to see:

-a completely fresh 3-5 alt server with a balanced 30 cap, could be tested and later opened up for a balanced level 35 system with 1 stamina increase at 35.

-combined server all players 1 game

-no sharing

-in game fresh roll buying system (i.e /serverbuy ling pxpppx costs 250k or something)

-more races

-more classes

-no character limitations of class/race

-removal of high end vamp/leech items (.1 is enough)

-a max alt limit in accounts (extra slots can be purchased in the long run but still have a max)

-No crit trading

-character resets randomize gains again

-all multi/1a areas/items(within reason) combined on the fresh server

-a boss drop system for leveling

-an item farming system for leveling

-a pay gold system for leveling

-no items that can't be sold atleast somewhere

-a reward system for trading in multi and 1a accounts for new server rolls, items, personalized items i.e Jordan's Scimitar, custom pictures, etc

i doubt it will happen but this would be a real win

Supported and love it. I'd even settle for a 3-5 alt server where it stayed capped at 30 and all areas/players/staff were combined there eventually.

I'd be 100% willing to start over from scratch even if it meant getting nothing for my current stuff. I'd probably keep the rolling as it is though.. the buyable 4 stat thing  and new races/classes might be too much to ask since the coding thing.. I think it would be more realistic we'd get a 3-5 alt level 30 capped server thats like a copy of multi sometime after the "big reset" before things went nopk there, before 1a and all was level 30(like when Tirantek was new or just before). which I think we could get some people to come back to play with a bit of promotion and all of us telling everyone we know that used to play. I would like if they could stop crit trading between accts and sharers but that might be too much to ask coding wise aswell.

If it started like that all of the "new" areas that have been added since then could be tweaked and balanced for level 30 and then added one at a time.. some with new level 30 item drops to take place of the 31+ things. Maybe have a grand opening or event weekend when they do for each one and space them out maybe incorporate some over holidays and such to keep things fresh and interesting. Might need more staff to help so it didn't all land on Gareth to cover as hes kickass but he's only one person with so much time! but theres probably a few qualified people around that could help with testing those areas without even being appointed to or having a staff crit.
