Alt Limit

I voted on 25 Alt Limit, seems reasonable...and im not even sure if I can run that many alts..and I know alot of others who can't also, so I don't see the problem with it..but thats my opinion
Post your opinions, and lets try keep this a clean post, if you got nothing nice to say, then don't post...

The game is easy enough as it is, there are 1800+ level 30 characters. Only level 1's have greater numbers. This is rediculous.
I want to see a 1 alt rule but this wont happen on this game because too many babies cry that they can no longer kill a single level 20 with their parties of arches. Alt abusers have destroyed the game totally.

There are 106 characters online, (35 users).i agree i would love to have 25 alts on at a time, plus it's a low enough number that it wouldn't necessarily effect the lag. Good idea Doom -pats Doom on the back-
If 35 users logged on 25 chars each, there would be 875 chars online, no lag?...I think not.

Not at all true. There are many new bosses and areas where this number of arch rangers/clerics will get you a nice quick trip to your local.no point no one trains or runs around with 20+ alts and if u are its a waste of time because 13 fully decked out rangers and 2 clerics will do any boss in the game quite easy.

I play with alts because I like to explore in areas where you need that many to survive. There is no point in complaining about how this should be a one alt game... NM1 is not designed to be one and would take a complete re-write to become one. (We call that NM2.)
The areas and creatures are balanced at a reasonable level of difficulty for the 20-alt limit. If you don't want to play on that many alts, find some friends and go explore/PK/boss hunt. I see no good reason to change the alt limit.

/t Eternyte game became one of alts a long time ago, it was this way when i started and almost everyone i ran into in the begining encouraged alt use
/t Eternyte heaps of people on the server never created a problem before, i can remember times seeing well over 600 characters online, game play exactly the same (for me) as when there is 9 users online, less than 20 characters

We didn't have a limit until a little while ago, and the game ran exactly how it does now.
I personally haven't used more than 16 crits except for mana thief runs, but the fact that I don't doesn't mean others should have limitations.

I have 100 crits I'd like to use so lets make the alt limit a 100? Doesn't quite work like that.Im glad I never added a 1, 5 Or 10 button for the reasons that Trevayne stated. The game has areas which require a good few alts to take down monsters, and another 5 alts on the current limit wouldn't do any harm, for those who don't use 20 alts I don't see why they complain.. different people have different ways of playing...and as I have more than 20 alts that i'd like to use but can't because of the limit, they are left behind, and it annoys me...

But... He only wants this so chris can run on 23 zerks (cause chris' pc owns) and ste runs on 6 clerics.

TBH I've rarely played more than 12 alts at any given time.
As to areas/monsters that call for more firepower, do that awful thing called COOPERATION
No crits ingame atm...

the game monsters over time have had their hp etc increased due to players using more alts.
with the alt limit (of 20) lowered by say 1 a month down to 10 (could happen, you never know), this will increase co-operation, and monster hp's could (but unlikely) be lowered to compensate

Be a bit more eclectic in your choice of companions then - after all we still have /nokill and /nopk party - I don't see the problem.Tirentek would need to be altered if a 10 alt limit was enforced. The game would be no where near as fun with a lower alt limit, having to wait around for hours for people to log on to help with the insane boss'es in tirentek would turn into an even longer more frestrating wait if only 10 crits could log on.
No crits ingame atm...
