Idea For Fighters- 1A

Hi don't know if this is the right place to post this but was just thinking, 

 

Currently my lvl 27 ranger dual shots for more than my level 33 horc fighter on the same monster.

 

I had an idea, what if you took off flaming arrow from ranger and renamed it into a fighter ability?

 

I don't know the current math on how its damage is, i know that no-one on a ranger currently uses it, but may be a useful thing (hopefully not broken) for fighters?

 

I know ranger damage is calculated differently but with all the strength mod a ranger gets now it can have the same amount of strength as a dwarf or horc fighter's base?

 

Don't know if this is a helpful suggestion but I thought it was an idea that warranted a post.

And what ability should a Fighter have that poisons opponents or otherwise causes damage over time?

The main thing about Fighters is that they're basic and to the point with their attacks - no special gimmicks, just a strong regular attack.

I totally forgot about the poison mechanic. I was meaning just the base damage for the attack.

The truth about a fighter at the same level as a ranger is that the fighter needs like 48 Base damage and the ranger only needs 24 base damage due to how things are coded. Basically each point of BD for fighter only adds that into the range. Rangers skill formula is multiplied by 2. I think what helps buy doesnt solve the problem is the access to more strength mods but that still leaves open the blocked attacks mechanics.

Well this is my thoughts on Fighter- If we could somehow get CS to work on mobs- I know there was talk about just making it so it removes AC block hits but how about instead if possible since it technically says Critical hit, that it could do roughly 1.35-1.50 more damage on hit- So say you hit a 30, With being a Critical spot your hitting Calculator: 40*1.35 = 54- just a small damage boost or perhaps could buff it just a tad more to help make fighters more relevant and wanting tobring to bosses. Otherwise It would also be nice to Port over Dragons Breath-with different mobs attached to weapon for modifiers and change the craft a bit differently to fit 1 alt---such as mithril, Blood From dragon ect.

originally I suggested this because I was thinking of skills already in the game, so that maybe it would not require coding.

Actually skills that are given to a character at level 1 are unable to be rewarded via a scroll or any other method. JLH would have to either code it in for them or make it possible to give skills. You can only do that with spells currently.
