At least you tried.
Give a Draco member a bell next time you see us on. I know all the Founders will role play if you ask nicely (and we're not too busy), also Lokey is a good person to speak to, and Squee (they're all awesome, bar myself. I suck)..
But this is just naming the main people in the community I know. I'm sure you'll find alot more. Never give up due to a few people who misunderstood you intentions.

I did find that part rather amusing, that they all figured you we're on something. I don't think I'd ever actually role play here, not the proper environment for my likings, I prefer to do it primarily over yahoo groups.

I am a roleplayers at heart, I grew up on hack and slash power gameing but have evolved into a roleplayer, I mainly roleplay when I am speaking to members of Draco Honoris, I do not always roleplay when talking to LoKey but that is a slightly different relationship, Squee and I mostly are roleplaying when on the forum other than that I mostly am out of character but that is not always true.

The game players of today are for lack of a better word 'retards' for the most part.

Their idea of roleplaying is cyber sex.

Role-Playing has its place, I have trouble role-playing inside nightmist - for me it really takes a story-teller (DM, Game Moderator) or a highly developed environment. I think NM would be better with a more RP developed enviroment (areas & staff), but lacking that, I'll participate on the forum(s).

It's all about character development, and since most players in NM care about the mechanics (stats, weapon 'stats', armor 'stats') there is little RP.

I personally think that the only reason NM hasn't lost most of its better players is because (to some extent, not necessarily a fantasy genre development) they have a lot invested in their character development (hence their relationship with others that are here), they don't want to throw that away.

Honestly i gave up rp'ing 2 years ago, but if anyone wishes to rp and needs soemone to rp with i'll be glad to help, personally i think the ppl of nightmist who consider having 6 stat crits and such are just in ti for the ability to kill ppl and get awya with it (tho thats why i play), seeing i'm a pker and all doesnt mean i can't rp good just would have to get some rust off.

The only tip that I can give you, Silverwizard, is try to improve on your grammar. Sometimes I need to read your posts over a good 5 times to understand what you're trying to say. =\
