Suddenly, as you talk, four orcs jump into the clearing, just 20 ft away from you! You are shocked, you try to scramble to your feet, but notice that your foot is tangled up in a root! Just then, one of the orcs tries to take a slice at Eberk with it's falchion, but just barely misses.
Eberk takes advantage of this, he cuts the root, you get up...
You swing at one of the orcs with your great sword, easily killing it. And because you have a feat called cleave, you can attack the other one that has positioned itself right next to you. You miss, it attacks Eberk. The orc stabs it's falchion into Eberk's leg, he yelps with pain. Then, right before one of the orcs was about to finish him off, an arrow hits it in the forehead.
Then you kill the other two orcs, you are safe.

"That was a strange happening, all I wanted was to thank him for his help"
Ebark just nods and agree's then they continue on their quest for an adventure. They are now at the edge of a town. Ebark goes up to the sign and it reads it aloud "Nightmist". Regdar comments,
"What a strange name, but seeing as this town is strange in design I can see it having such an awkward name."
They continue into this new bizarre city in search of an adventure and find that there are the most weird and seemingly odd people in this town. They watch as the people around them completly ignore them as they go about their own lifes. Regdar says to Ebark,
"Hmm, maybe we should go into that *point* over there that looks like a pub"
They walk into the pub named Boar's Tusk Inn and get drunk immediatly, being they had nothing else to do until something happens. Regdar watches as some people go up some stairs, and notices they are all battle-ready and wonders to himself what they could be doing up there. In his drunken state he decides its best not to find out for now. They rest the night in the pub and in the morning Regdar tells Ebark of what he noticed yesterday. They prepare for battle and proceed into the room upstairs. Immediatly they are engaged in battle.
Five arrows fly at Regdar, all hitting him all over his body, his armor blocking most of their blows. Ebark casts a healing spell on Regdar, but is interrupted by another man berserking towards him. Regdar jumps in front of the man and immediatly takes a mortal wound. Ebark heals him quickly and they run for the door to be stopped by a man in the shadows who nearly assassinates Regdar, but fails. Ebark drags his comrad out the door down back to the pub where he finishes healing their wounds. Regdar says,
"My word there was at least twenty people I saw in that room, what madness to have a battlefield above a tavern, what if a drunken man was to be dragged up there? I am sure he would be murdered without a word. Can this town be that insane to just kill at will? Ebark, we need to be careful around here, we never know what might happen."
Ebark once again nods and they take rest in the pub to find a quest for their next day...
