It should be raised, its pointless haveing it deal 1 damage and 10 (Sand vipers)

u waste mana healing for 1 and 10, it should be raised to Sand Spiders 25-35,

Vipers - 35-50

Spiders - 10

Wouldn't harm nothing. I always end up wasting mana healing 3-5 of my crits for 1 point anyways so a little addition wouldn't hurt...

Im in full support of this . . . I don't believe sand vipers should poison for the same amount as small snakes . . . that makes no sense

Either remove it or improve it. At the moment, poison in the desert is a joke.

Not as much of a waste to heal for 1HP... and 30HP is no waste to a Paladin's Heal. Also, 1 point poison damage isn't cumulative because of health regeneration... higher poison damage is!

It would make Cleanse more useful, as already said, and justify the high experience a bit more.

My crits have been poisoned so many times by sand vipers and other desert monsters that surely they have built some kind of immunity against it. That explains the 1 poison damage good enough for me.

So why does the damage start off as 1 and not a higher number? It may explain it "good enough" for you, but some people require a more intelligent reason.

I'm up for the change.. I always thought poison was pitifully weak.

Yes, and some people want to see new things put into the game instead of pissing around with trivial little matters like this one.

would be better to take it out or make the healing spells act like cleanse as well as healing, if theres one thing about poision imo its just there to annoy you.

In my humble opinion, poison should be more life-threatening. The large spiders in the desert are sure to have a venom that does more than make you feel tingly.

Poison should be a serious thing just like hunger and thirst are serious.

lol sometimes i run crits through the desert.. sometimes as low as lvl 10.. and barely get them in and out alive... things doing so much poison would hinder that ;p so im against it.

I think it may as well be upped for reasons already stated. Anyone know who made the area?

Flaming Arrow and Spectre Bow. If you up the poison I know I'd use it a bit more. I don't really like the idea of sandvipers doing 40 poison damage because it would make training nub crits in the dessy fairly hard without lots of mana and 2 clerics =\ at least for me.

Poison hurts you as time goes on, as does being burnt... its just that rather than create code that said "you have been hurt by being burnt" they decided to use the "you have been hurt by poison" code instead, as they both served the same ends
They stuck poison damage on the flaming arrow to emulate burning. It was the cheats way out

I've spoken to JLH and he will review this. Would you like to list all the monsters that are in the desert that cast poison please? Could you also note if the monsters exist elsewhere in the game too as obviously it would affect that areas balance too.

Sand Spider and Sand Viper definitely poison players. I'm not sure if the Scorpion and Sand Scorpion do.

The Sand Viper appears elsewhere in Nightmist... in Chronos and Harabec Dungeon (as a group of 3) I believe.

I don't think it should be changed. It's already too hard really. I take 6 to train when i go to the desert, mainly arches and its still a challenge. The spiders that poison for 1 shouldn't be there, all they do is cause lots of lag when i'm trying to move around to get to the real monsters. I know a lot of you are thinking the desert is too easy but how many alts do you take with you? If poison was upped more it would just cause players to double the amount of alts they already take. I don't know about everyone else but i think nightmist is laggy enough already lol. It wouldn't be fair for players who can't support many alts with their computer. Im one of those people and I like going to the desert but if poison goes up i'd get stuck having to train in the museum or rose garden or something and that would totally suck. I don't follow you guys on the whole spectre bow and flamming arrow points... using those against desert monsters would be a sure quick death for you, they don't offer any protection against poison lol. If you guys think it's a hard area, dont take as many in your party and you'll see different.

Black Scorpian in chronos, but with all the invis of muaderers, and enough lag, a whole party is ezpk, poisin is fine in chronos. Large Snake poisin should do 2, because well, /shrug, poisin in swamps is fine, and finally, sentry spiders and such should be upped by 1 or 2.

Chance of being poisoned should be reduced.... everything from small snakes to anacondas poison you on thier 1st hit every time. Maybe reduce poison chance to 10% or so, and bump up poison damage to 10-30 for the various desert monsters
