[Silverwizard]

And so dies Silverwizard. The mage who many knew wether by deed or by words, many knew. The being who had changed the lives of so many innocents and so many in need, abrupty he died. Out of the ashes rose a soul, he was Silverwizard and the Silverdragon and something else, something new something greater, but he would be known as Silverwizard. The being looks the same and his old allegiences hold but they will shift, do not expect what you have come too, expect only the pain burning through the multiverse at the sheer unknowable. What am I? Only the gods themselves know.

A hooded figure lands silently on the ground and slices Silverwizard's head clean off. Stopping his rants for good.
The unknown figure looks around and jumps back out of sight.


A small piece of paper lies where this unknown assassin stood.

It reads:
"MWAhAHAHAHAHA! Long live the normal RP characters, all 'God' characters will be 'removed'."

So, sorry... but may I kindly point out that by 'slicing Silverwizard's head clean off' you were, in fact, god-modding yourself.

It seems somewhat unfair to 'execute' or 'remove' someone for a trait you yourself are exhibiting

Please note- I don't mean this to sound hostile... I did try to erase the hostility because I meant none of it... put the little smileys in too to lighten it up a little I was just being cantankerous and trying to make a point ^^;; ))

Now does that sound right? You shouldn't have the right to say that Silverwizard has a true form that is all powerful. Well, ok, let me rephrase that. You shouldn't want to. It's no fun to say "I could kill everything and no one could stop me, but I don't. If you want to have fun, do what I do, play the screw-up, play the noob, just don't feel that you have to be all-powerful. In the posts i have done, i don't even know who the main character is most of the time. I don't just run into him and act like i know him. I dunno, i just think it's more fun that way.))

See, Opie has got the whole idea of roleplaying down pretty good, he just tries to have fun. That's all I try to do, though it gets hard to remain mature and keep from playing like a small child and making my character "All powerful". I try to keep a balance of power and weaknesses.


Example of "All powerful" :
"God snaps his fingers, destroying every part of you that may have ever existed."

That is no fun for anyone who is RPing. It is also the reason I don't use hero editors on my Diablo characters.

The chars are lesser avatars, they know that they are tied in mind to a more powerful being but have no access to its power, and could not if they wanted to, if they were to get that level of power that would have to earn it again in this world depending on the precepts of the world.

Anyway, I did not make this thread to talk about my chars, I made it simply to rant for fun.))

Damn, I'm sick of this being dragged up. I'm sorry, but I am (and yes, I know I'm just dragging it up again, and I'm doing it on purpose) To quote Opie on the Necromancer thread

Oh you people have no IDEA how much I think of that when I read this thread at the moment. You people are nearly always arguing. YES some of you are guilty of godmodding, I almost wish that Assassin would come pay the UH thread a visit, you know that? (edit: I wrote this before he did... my somewhat disturbing wish was answered)

I wouldn't be half as p-ed off as I am if someone would actually pay attention to the few people who ARENT god modding. I purposefully did NOT type "Charon steals the shiny purple crystal from Opie" why? Because it would have been god modding.

Squee noticed that I was trying, but it was nothing to do with his characters, so I hold nothing again him here. Bean also, is Ti'anna... and was quite legitimately more interested in the scary Daemon... however Opie... you ignored me. Everyone who WAS able to react to Charon's little dash... ignored me. Didn't... even notice it.

Mantis excluded. You noticed me. Thankyou

But God modding... a lot of you seem to like that subject, so lets go back to it.

Primal- you have no right to clam that the lightning would have hit everyone. Yes it's likely that it would have, but fact is, you cant tell people that. Nor can you tell them what effect that will have on them

Opie- the way to retaliate is not with more godmodding. You may not say that Blasters axe hit Bremen... but you did say that Opie's axe hit the eagle

Primal again-

Bremen grabbed Steven and and lifted him quickly out of Galeb's reach. Then Bremen cast a spell on Steven to counteract the effects of his lightning bolt. Next, Bremen called one of the eagles down and placed Steven on its back. Finally, as the eagle carried Steven up into the air, Bremen turned his attention back to Galeb

You have no right to say ANY of that. Stephen is SQUEE'S character. You CANNOT say a spell works on him, you CANNOT pick him up when he is unconscious/very close to Galeb without giving Galeb a chance to counteract you and you CANNOT simply... carry him away.

But anyway, I'm going to take what you said as true, at least as far as it related to my character, Charon.
So now apparantly I've been struck by lightning as well? Well damn, that was a little sudden, eh?
Charon wasn't expecting it... she'd dropped her shield long ago and I had STATED so... so now she's what? Frozen/Electrocuted by a lightningbolt/shockwave for 1hr/60seconds? Well you know what?, I say she was more in the way of Galeb that I realised... I choose an hour. Have fun explaining why the poor lil' peaceful diplomatic person isn't doing anything

This... THIS is what happens when I get p-ed off.

Opie stands up and applauds Charon, whistling. Thank you! It's about time someone had a nice long post about god modding. I know i did god-modd with Blaster there, but UH was, unfortunately, going to hell, and I knew that Primal was gonna make up some half-arsed excuse to get out of it. The one thing i was really sad sbout though, was that i never got to see what happened with Mantis and Steven. I liked the string, it was fun. Until the battle. I think it was Squee who said he didn't like the fights. I'd find it but i'm lazy. I'm trully sorry I didn't respond to you running towards me, i didn't get on all weekend, and by the time i did, i was apparently hit by a lightning bolt. So i'm sorry for that, and thanl you again for that post, because you were probably the least likely person to complain, so it makes the biggest impact. I can't wait for Squee to come up with another string, that has more rules. You want a suggestion? No double characters (as long as they don't fight, you know, other characters, like Alex in UH, that should be ok.)unless they are well thought out. (Like Charon's in A taste for revenge) shapeshifting should probably be a no-no. I am pretty much a hypocrit(sp?) for a couple of these things, in UH, but mainly because that was my first role-playing post. I don't know, i'll probably look back at these things and say "Boy was I ever retarded" just like you're thinking "Boy is he retarded" I guess the main thing i wanted to do (kinda got out of hand huh?) was give props to Charon. *Stands up and puts his hand to his head in a salute* I salute you!

I'd just like to point out I didnt get to work out the entirety of Ti'Anna's involvement in Aladars body. For all anyone knows she could have been bluffing her arse off.

She was by the way. She has no power in physical form. As I acctually posted on my VERY first post on the UH topic *It takes quite a great deal of energy for her to maintain physical form.*

Just thought I should point that out. Yeah.....

P.S: Love your posting Charon, you were hands down the best writer in the topic I think. IMHO at least.
