I was just curious as to how many of you people out there still send letters through the mail, just recently I was forced to write a couple of letters to a couple people and found it rather enjoyable. It's always nice recieving something in the mail from an actual person :P. So anyways do you do it? Or no? Or do you just not have anyone to send letters to. That will be all now.

I like to hand write letters to people I care about - it's more personal.

I'm a horrible panpal. I will write the letter, then realize I have no envelopes at home, so I will forget to by any the next 3 shopping trips, and on the 4th finally bring home envelopes. Time passed: 2 weeks.

By that time the letter isn't up to date anymore, so I re-write it, put it in the enevelope and realize I am also out of stamps. I make a mental note to self saying "post office, buy stamps!" and by the time I actually do it another 2 weeks have passed.

So once again, I re-write the out of date letter, put it in an envelope and put a stamp on it. By the time I pass a mailbox and actually have the letter on me to deposit it in the mailbox another week passes.

So if you write to me via snail mail, considering it takes about a week for the letter to get to me and another week for the mailman to get my letter to you, count on my reply around 7 weeks after you sent your letter.

And of course I blame it all on the postal system. :P

I love writing letters to people. ^.^ I was sending them to my recent disowned friend who has been in DH (Detention Home) forever. Now, I just don't have anyone to write to.

Well you do now and my search continues. I now only have 3 people that I can write.

e-mail is fine and dandy but letters are more personal and you can put more thought into it. Would you rather recieve a card in the mail or through email?
