Just wondering if it got deleted or something?

It was deleted along with Milagros when he (forgotten name) tried to sell his account for real money. Pandilex posted one for sale on the old forum, to which people bidded millions for it, but I don't believe it was ever actually sold to a player.

There was only one Scroll ever given out, if it was the same again, I think there'd be little problem.. It wouldn't be a common thing.

That's a shame that it got deleted, I remember when different staff were in charge of making different floors to the area. You wanted them HUGE.

Good luck in re-making it or restoring it somehow.

Why not offer another scroll(s) to players for doing some work for NM? Surely something needs done that some of the brighter/more creative NM players can do.

This would restrict access to the spell and get some work done for the game.

There are a lot of possibilities, like a tournament even. Seems a waste to lose such a source of motivation

...just a suggestion.

If i had 5 bill i would buy it... and then roleplay... cuz you wouldnt need alts if you had that spell....

Exactly how powerful is Devastate? And is it a spell that uses all stamina in one burst?

Probably about 90 damage approx per casting, and acts the same as Beam. Just more damage, and at a higher mp cost. Was 25, so probably about 20 now.

Before it was tweaked it had the power to inflict of 120 points of damage with one hit. When it was adjusted it was reduced to around 90-100 per hit.

I spoke to JLH and he said that Pandilex added the item to the menu in the Alchemy Shop because he was bored! 5 thousand million gold is not worth spending for something only marginally better than Beam, in my opinion. Then again, JLH does support the Scroll being obtainable...

...don't know if you guys got the hint or not, it's in there for 5 bil because there is no where near that much in Nightmist.

I don't know though, even if they made it a really hard area with a low drop %....it'd still be ravaged, there would still end up being several mages with devestate in game, and even 1 being added now that mages are really pretty good again would mean mages would all have to be adjusted to compensate.

With how much better mages are now, I think it is better for the class to remain with devestate as a thing of the past of a great powerful mage. I was around when it was, it being added with the changes to mages would make any mage with it far overpowered (fewer fizzles, even higher damage, less mana). They'd have to screw with too much stuff for it to really be put in...

I think mages are irratating and have got enough wit the recent upgrade.... I dont think the spell should be obtainable

I say we put a wooden box south of NM and beat it with rubber knives

I remember oldfart devestating me for 90 points a hit in the dessert around Jahanna when it was actually a city, and when I used to have only one crit.

5 bil gold ? sheesh, never would I pay that much for a spell unless I had ALL my crits uber equipped first.... which will be in my calculations.... about 25 years more of playing
