We need a command to remove our own items from the website. Usually ppl have to buy it back if they decided they dont want to sell or something. They usually dont have enough gold to buy it back. Is there anyway to make a command to just remove it without having to buy your own item back? It would be alot easier and less annoying. Like /webremove or something like that.

Of course this could only be done in a pub, to it being used to store say mana for a paci then reclaimed off the site in the museum.

Yeah, sounds fine to me. Only problem that jumps out at me is would people just use it for storage while moving between cities? Make it so you lose a % of the gold when you bring it back or something I guess?

edit: Or what about making it so you can only use the sell board from the account vaults?

I like this idea. And thanks again Chris for getting that off the site for me.

this is good for when you typo, and put that pair of SG's up for 2.5 mill instead of 250k

not that I or anyone else has prolly ever done that :X but maybe this command will prevent that ever happening :)

i agree, that way prices on site are commpetetive, like a buissiness people will keep lowering prices to beat whoever else is selling the same thing.
I believe in the Triune God;God the Father, the Son , and the Holy Spirit.I believe that while I was helpless and sinful, Christ died for me. Therefore, I now have the righteousness of God, old things have passed away and I am a child of God. I cannot be separated from the love of God, Christ lives in my heart by faith and therefore, I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. I have been chosen by God and appointed to bear fruit for God. I resist the devil and he flees from me.

I love the idea but maybe instead of a % of gold it can be made so the item has to stay up on the site for say 2 or 3 days before you can take it off?

But then if you 'typoed' and put something up for less than it is worth, someone would have spotted it before the 2 or 3 days was up.

I still think if it only works in the account vault area and you have to pay say 10% of the price to get it back etc. Then it could be added and you chose for yourself if it is worth using.

You mean that if you put sg's up for 2.5 mill instead of 250k like Despair said, you would be paying 250k to take it off?

Wouldn't a static price work better? A lower price for more 'common' items and a higher price for those 'rare' ones?

Well who is to say what price everything is to be valued at if it is static? And who is to keep updating this as times change?
Even as you said, who defines which items are 'common' or 'rare'?
I'm not sure tbh about the %. 250k sounds a lot for a typo as angelus put it but at least you can get it back. Should it be 5% then? Or less?

A lot of questions lol

I don't see why it should cost money, what does it matter if you put up something and take it off for free, it doesn't bug anyone. If you would buy it back it wouldn't cost anything either but the original 100g to put it up....

That is the whole purpose it put a risk on it just incase they want to store the items for travel. Also if a wait period was put on with say making them to pay to get it back would make it even safer because then they would have to be cautious on the price that they choose to put it on the site if they want it back. kinda a double protection from people abusing the priviledge.

anyway if someone typoed and missed a 0 they can get it back as it would be rather cheap then. all they have to do is buy it.

And if they accidentally added a zero?

5% would still mean having to pay 125k for accidentally typo'ing a zero. =\

As for rare and common items, couldn't we just go by how much of that item exists in the Nightmist community?
...Ehh...but then it would still need to be updated...I guess that won't work either. o_o;

Perhaps it could be done that after a period of time if it didnt sell then you could take it off for free. Then if you wanted to take it off right away because of a typo then it would cost double what it cost to put it on. Just a suggestion.

So...if I accidentally put my SG's for sale for 2.5 million, it would cost a total of 5 million to get them back?

What if I accidentally put my SG's for sale at 25k? I have to wait and hope nobody buys them while I wait a certain amount of time?

No saying that it costs 100 gold to sell so it would cost 200 gold to remove. Not twice the selling price.

I don't see any problems or why it should cost....cept for what torak said...200 gold.....Only real problem i see if maybe if someone puts an item for sale then travels to a different town and buys it so they dont die or whatever. Solution to that is having to take the item down from the same pub u put it on site at.

Only reason I suggested this to Chris one day was because I had put an item up there that was not being bought. So I wanted to remove it but did not have the gold that I had put it up there for to buy it back myself. Luckly Chris bought it back for me and I gave him the gold back.

I like the idea of having to pay 200 gold to get it back and having to do this from the same place you put it up there from. As it is now you dont have to be in a pub or bank to put items up there. I think this should be changed to go along with removing it from site. And to help you remember where you were when you put the item up on the site when you do /showsite it would show you:

You have an Oak Staff on the site for 1,000 gold. Placed there from Boar's Tusk Inn.

Or

You have an Oak Staff on the site for 1,000 gold. Placed there from South NightMist Bank.
