There's been no escape from the news all day! I'm thankful that my friend in London is safe and sound along with his parents, despite the events spoiling our day out because the train stations were locked down.

I am just thankful that the death toll is very low, yet still feel sorry for those who did lose their lives in the blasts.

Yeah was pretty hectic today, my bus was aaggeess then all bags were looked in and of coarse you had the little moron kids making a big fuss about that... but atleast my fare was free...Luckey i guess as sometime i have to catch the train over to Edgeware to take parts to the other store...

But i guess it was only a matter of time before something like this happend too many useless scum in this country

My family and I spent the whole night up worrying about family, and friends over in London.. As yet we have no news about them.. Hopefully they're alright.

My deepest sympathy for those people whom have lost loved ones and cherished friends.

That made me laugh hard but with no disrespect. Even Prince Charles said something along the lines of he couldn't believe the resilience of the British people. Sad event but dealt with well it seems

Yes, I found it interesting how London didn't seem to give a moose and stayed calm where as events like this in the past everyone is running around like headless chickens.

Probably a bit cruel saying this, but the British have been used to terrorist attacks for a good few decades, mainly from the IRA, and even before then during the constant bombing of London in World War II.

Also, running around like headless chickens and no longer being able to lead a normal life is exactly what the terrorists want, so in a way it is good that we are not giving them what they want. After all, the terrorists' main objective (even though they may not realise it) is to terrorise.

I was reading this, and wondering if a few of my family, Kyle and Alan, and the server of Nightmist were doing okay, I was worrying a little, but they're all fine, so I'm happy, my parents were watching the news and all I heard was "terrorists attacks on London" and I was like, wtf?

...I saw something on MSN about these attacks, and I couldn't tell if they were recent or from a couple of months ago.
I've seen nothing else where about the attacks either.
I don't watch the news...for many reasons, and ya...basically I know nothing about what happend.


I don't really know what else to say. It's very hard to have strong feelings or much attatchment to things that happen far away to people I don't, and probably never would have, known.

Even during 9-11 in New York, people around here were mostly the same, except those that took it as an excuse to act like idiots or patriots---most everyone got very patriotic some became very hateful towards whole nations or races over something a small group of people did. Everyone said they were upset and did the American Flag thing, but I didn't see anything that truely seemed sincere to me. (Don't get me wrong, I love my country, but I don't want to see it turn into some nation of zombie flag worshipers who will do and accept anything the gov/media says...it seemed very close to going that way during the after effects of 9-11)

But then there is the example of the bombing in OKC, years before 9-11- Oklahoma basically went into mourning as a whole because it was local and we all knew people who were affected.


Sorry to carry on. My prayers go out to London and it's people.
