Well, thought I'd place this here, as there are no posts here yet..

It may be an idea, rather than have people cross posting, slowly lock off the ability to post new threads on the old forum? But leave the current ones open. It'd make the change over much easier and prevent alot of confusion.

As I said, just an idea, not even sure it's possible.

I was thinking about something similiar to this, like what come of the old forum, or when? I think this would be good, anything to help the transfer would be.

Another thing, anyway to remove forum post count? I've noticed a couple of people already trying to boost their posts like previous times.

I agree with Zephie, they just show how many times people have posted but that doesn't mean they are an older player or someone who gives more input than someone with a lower figure so it's a pretty inacurate display imo.

Why am I getting the feeling Zephie's refering to me?

If you are, and you feel that way, reset my post count :) I honestly don't mind!

It's not so much the post count as the amount of crap people post. I'd like to eliminate the amount of crap that is posted, and the post count is just something that helps to cause this.

I think for now the post count will stay and I will moderate any pointless posts, and if the problem does not fix itself, then it will be removed.
If you build it, they will come.

One player has posted Bump three times that i've seen already. Not really adding to the readers intrest just a salesman promoting his wares.

Firstly, I think that moved topics should be locked if possible also I like the idea of removing post count (also from profile if possible) and I like the fact that it does not raise post count in pointless areas.

why would you lock a moved topic? just because someone accidently posted it in wrong area doesnt mean it should be locked.

personally, i wanna know how someone gets 103 posts in 3 days....ive also noticed a lot of incredibly useless posts that some people are making. i love having my post count showing, i was sad when it was taken off of last one, but a couple of people ruin it for everyone dont they?

is it me, or does this seem high for someone not an admin?

/t ice_cold I just had too much free time last weekend. Sure I'll be the first to admit some of my posts are pointless. But as I've said countless times now, reset my post count, I don't mind. I'll still carry on to post where I see fit. I don't cause much upset on the forum, and I try to keep to the rules. If you ever want me to amend a post, PM me, and I'll rethink what I posted.

EDIT:
I just checked the old forum, out of the top 10, I was the newest forum member, and was 5th top. Yet that was never a problem.. How so? Cus you didn't see the number of posts? Cus they were gathered over the period of just over a year..

If I seriously post crap, everyone gang bang and help me get admin to reset my post count.
I've looked, and it appears I can't delete my own forum account. And quite frankly, I would if I could, cus if you kids are just gonna get jealous over such a petty thing, there's no point me trying to help the community anymore.
