this morning i watched the news but i was a bit late on it and i just got the final aprt say'n there were problems with the voting machine somewhere in alabama and that florida started opening vote thingies 2 weeks before the real election. so what's goingon with that? how is it possible that you canb vote 2 weeks before the real election?

and what's the use of it? and isn't it unfair?

It was created so that you didnt have to wait in a long line to give more time for people to come to vote, You have always been allowedto cast your vote early in different forms, Like i cast mine a week ago.

The problem with the Voting machines in florida is that again the machines keep no record of the votes, So they could not be recounted later, If need be and go figure GB little brother said, Oh they are fine, How much you want to bet florida needs a recount only this year cant get one, anyone

Voting early has always been allowed, just in different forms you hear more of such as absentee ballots, this is an option because there are millions of people who don't have the time to get down to the polling areas, or are unable to due to health issues, hospitalization, etc... Not many people do it simply because once you do it, thats it. There is no going back and changing your mind.

There is a law suit going on down here that will require a paper trail to accompany the voting machines. After problems with the laptops being able to access the central computer there is a better chance that a paper trail will be implimented.

Personally, I always do an absentee ballot because it's on paper to begin with.

It's retarded, and there is no good reason for it. Only thing it does is allows some people to vote multiple times.

/t lich yes they do keep a record of the votes, although I wish they didn't, because all of that recounting bs four years ago was just a retarded game that accomplished nothing anyway

No they dont the machines in florida right now have a problem that they dont leave a paper trail, so they can not be recounted, It was heard in court yestarday,
and that recount BS 4 years ago is the reason i hate bush. Tell me how you win the popular vote and have more votes than bush(both proven facts,) Yet loose a state. Answer you dont. That is not democracy that is dictatorship.
