Well as it grows closer Florida is in for a world of hurt. I just hope that they are more prepared for this one than they were for Andrew. Andrew was a catagory 5, Francis is a catagory 4 but its twice as large as Andrew. This storm will completely cover Florida once it has centered over the state.

I am originaly from Florida and just recently I moved to Utah. I do not miss Florida and hurricanes are just one of the many reasons.

Main reason I started this thread was to bring some light to what is about to happen to Florida and to possibly get some of you to think of my wife in your prayers. She had made plans to visit her mother and other family in Florida after Charley passed through. Now that she is down there I am really worried for her because of this new, larger, stronger storm.

Hurricane Frances*

I live in Tampa, FL. There is honestly nothing to worry about, the storm has lost most of it's strength and has decreased from a cat 5 to a cat 2. Only thing we have to look at is wind and rain. No biggie

What do you mean by saying it isnt going to be that bad?
I've seen the news and read CNN online and it has already caused deaths and destruction. The beautiful bahamas have been hit really hard this year.
Personally I wouldnt like to have to climb onto my roof and wait to be rescued, while meanwhile everything in your house is underwater. It's a beautiful place to visit but I wouldn't want to live there during hurricane season.
I hope that everyone and their loved ones (on nm) near the hurricane path are safe and dry and looking forward to an end to the storm season.

That fking thing took out power for the entire fkin state of florida My mother went out and bought a gas powered generator so we could have tv, only 3 trees fell on powerlines on my street. So like no cable, when the gas runs out there wont be power until the trees are gone. I did'nt even get to have any fkin fun!
