Hokay so... here is the way stam sits for 1a atm...


Berserker: 1 4 9 14 21 27 31 35 40
Cleric: 1 8 14 24 29 33 37
Druid: 1 7 15 25 29 33 37
Fighter: 1 4 10 15 22 28 32 36 40
Mage: 1 10 18 26 29 33 37
Pacifist: 1 8 14 24 29 34 38
Paladin: 1 6 15 22 29 32 36 40
Ranger: 1 5 12 20 29 31 34 38
Thief: 1 6 13 21 26 31 35 39.


Zerks and fighters get 9, that makes sense to me seeing how they get 6 stam a bit early. but clerics mages and druids are all stuck at 7 stam when they finally reach their final stam, rangers pallys and thieves get 8 stam? i dont see how this is balanced at all really... thieves getting an 8th stam is kinda giving them a ton of power. lets be honest, thieves catch da breaks on 1a because of the DotW, im not tryin to be a jerk here because just like the rest of NM i've got a thief now too. this suggestion would hurt me as well as all the thief users in the game. I think that mages should be given the 8th stam and that thieves should stay at 7 as they are perfectly able to go about they're merry way b4 they get that 7th stam, a lvl 31 or so thief can solo the bandit leader while a zerk dies miserably fast. no other class can do it either i think... maybe druid with 6 stam or so. I just dont think they stamina is balanced very well for 1a as it stands any oppinions?

It's hard to comment on how the races will be balanced at levels we've not yet reached.

Fighters and Zerkers are designed to have more stamina (hence them doing at level 30).

Right now, thieves aren't a class I see as needing an extra stamina, not like rangers and pallys do anyway.

I would have to agree that thieves do not seem to need to get 8 stamina.
I would say 7 is plenty for all non-zerk/fighter classes. Zerks and fighters have no particurally special ability to protect themselves such as healing, coverting, or invising, so extra stamina makes since for when they can do so with Cobalt Staff of the Winds or the sort.

As for rangers, I don't know how they will be protected at any point...unless they somehow manage to collect a Cobalt Bow...which is possible sooner or later.

pretty much agree entirely with post... thieves hit plenty hard with the 7... /shrug

I agree and my point you highlighted in bold was to say they don't need the extra stamina they will get at level 39 the way things currently stand.

The end of that statement was to mean that I think pallys and ranger still should get the extra stamina they will be getting anyway as things stand.

I wasn't meaning thieves should gain another stamina additional to the current system, (giving them the same as fighters/zerkers at level 40), I was agreeing with the above, like Rich said.

I wouldn't think anything with a 1 click attack should get over 7 stamina except a zerk since that's all they're good for. Druid/mage shouldn't get any more than 7 either. Support/tank classes like fighter/pally/cleric should get 8 imo.
