I have never had problems before with this command, however once i installed windows vista it would no longer work for me. Any clues as to why?

I will get around to testing nightmist on vista at some point, at the moment i don't know
what /load does, is create a bat file in the game folder, and then runs it
that bat file loads nightmist and passes in the info to load the account and crit (like your shortcut does)
i don't know why vista would stop this working atm

You need to run nightmist as administrator.

Right click nightmist.exe and choose run as administrator.

To make it always do this -> right click, properties, compatibility tab, check "Run this program as an administrator", apply.

I have Vista on my labtop, also tryed what Cule said, it worked...

But..

Now everytime I open NightMist on it or try and load a crit it ask me if I trust the program.. which is just as annoying... any idea how to fix that?

I think theres a way to stop it doing that entirely, though i havent looked into it. Google might be of assistance.

solution worked for me as well, just recently got vista (not by choice) but it asks me if i trust the program every time i click the nightmist icon.... when someone comes up with a way to fix that... i'll be very appreciative!

i'm SO thankful i can /load crits now..... that alone was about enough to make me hate vista more than..... um.... spoiled cheese?

I couldn't get around all of the crap that Vista did...
Swapped my laptop down to XP; it does what I want now.
