Has nightmist been down for the past 3 days? I haven't been able to log in and it will not let me view anything on the website. The only thing i can access is the forum. Everytime i try to log in it tells me the server could not be found?

i had a problem after i clicked alt port and forgot to change it back. after i unclicked it worked? you could try that
Perhaps one day maybe I will understand PAIN. Why it is and how it has to be. Until then...

I have tried all that. Ive deleted everything off my computer and redownloaded it. I keep getting the same message saying it could not find the server.

Same thing happened to me. 
I called my ISP and they had to unblock some email ports to get me back in
give your ISP a call and tell they you need your ports unblocked.

ok now im stuck. i connect but it doesnt progress it just stays on connected to server. i tried doing what JLH said about tracert and line 14 on times out.. so.. im kind of stuck.

hopefully soon, but it looks like i'll have to get nightmist to run off one of my internet servers instead

i was finally able to log on my lunch break today. but had bad lag. hopefully they clear this up soon.

ok so now 6 hrs later i cant log back on. what the hell and cant see the curent players again.

did the start - run - cmd - tracert 82.29.71.76 and this is where it got stopped

Just this afternoon it stopped working for me too - the trace-route got as far as:
nott-t3core-1a-so-000-0.inet.ntl.com [213.105.174.170]
I'm quite geographically close to the Nightmist Server as well.
