Elf walks to Draggy and Tommy... taking their hands and holding them both to form a small circle.
Crane smiles and watches the ritual, fascinated.

Crane raised his goblet while toasting the couple he was best man for, using sleight of hand to ensure that he drank fruit juice instead of red wine so as to not appear out of the ordinary but also without breaking his teetotal code of conduct.

"Congratulations to you both." he concluded his "Best Man" speech and gift-offering, borrowing a few ideas from Sir Jeff, his first cousin, once removed, when he toasted to the groom of his second cousin (Jeff's daughter) at their own wedding a few years back. While the words were not totally of Crane's creation, he mimicked Sir Jeff's eccentricity and sense of humour perfectly and brought quite a few laughs from around the reception; the groom certainly bellowed at the mention of his exquisite tastes, referring directly to Draggy. Crane listened in pleasure as the clapping and laugher filled the grassy courtyard where the banquet was being held, echoing off of the nearby castle walls.

He looked down at the bride, smiling, just before he took a swig from his chalice, sure that his gifts of "something old", "something new", and "something blue" appealed to her dragon-loving nature. Only his first gift, the Pirate Hat, was out of place, because his attempts to acquire an ancient dragon-oriented artifact without bankrupting himself proved futile, although the Dragon's eye Pendant, recently carved by a jeweller who had done favours for Crane in the past, and the good-quality cloth of a blue dragon's shed skin, picked up from a pawnbroker, would sure make her the happiest woman in the realm.

He watched Elf, the Wiccan Priestess, disappear out of a gate just after his speech, pleased at how her ritual and the reception had gone so far, but now called to other duties beyond the wedding. With the jingle of the bells on her Elven shoes, it was impossible for her to slip away without at least someone noticing.

"Nicely done, Crane; Draggy and Tommy deserve each other very much so." he thought happily to himself as he enjoyed the taste of the tropical fruits on his tongue. He sat down just before the applause diminuendoed, glancing at Sleeping who had already had a few too many glasses of wine and was starting to chat up a kitchen maid!

Suddenly, almost without warning, Draggy had chucked her wedding bouquet right at him with a facial expression that was a cross between cheekiness and gratefulness. As he held the bouquet, a number of the guests had gone silent and simply stared at him, trying hard to hide their bemusement.

"Oh Mother Goddess!" he exclaimed, betraying his conversion from the cloth (that the Paladins normally serve under) to the naturalist faith that entwined the earlier wedding ritual.

Stepping from the shadows she bowed softly and smiled to Tommy and Draggy. Stepping closer to them she took their hands in hers and smiled contently. " My Dear brother... congradulations on this..." Looking towards Draggy with a soft smile on her face. Her icy blue eyes twinkling in the light. Make sure you take good care of my brother... and I welcome you to the family." The gentle jingle of a collar upon her neck signaled to everyone she was owned. Her gloved hands reached foreward for a goblet of wine as she raised it in toast to Crane's speech. " Here here! " With a soft smile the goblet was turned upwards and the liquid gone in one gulp. "And to my dearest neice... Elfie that ceremony was beautiful..." With a soft tilt of her head and a gentle smile to the new couple. She turned slowly and bowed her head to the room and then stepped back into the shadows and dissappeared from view.
